i tried rbr, cmr4 and 5, dirt and dirt 2. i really love driving dirt 2 cars. if you don't have a wheel...go for cmr or dirt.

Best rally sim games I came across, in order: R.B.R, Colin Mcrae 4 & 5 -Dirt is after he moved to the U.S, so it doesn't count as a rally sim game-, WRC 5 Evo. Haven't played WRC 2010, so can't tell you about that.

CMR, RBR and Xpand all fail at providing a realistic field of view (>100 degrees) from cockpit. You'd think after all the simulating element they would get something as trivial as a cockpit but no.

They probably found in testing that when they widened the view players were unable to see far enough ahead to race at speed. That would be my guess anyway.

You can edit the car's FOV in the car.ini file for Richard Burns Rally. I have raised the FOV and it gives me a great sense of speed.

@nadita5600 you have all the reason, i played dirt 1 and 2, and they are only an hd sega rally, there are games like rfactor or this than are very realistic control but not great graphics. other simulators like gt5 have also good view.

Richard Burns may be the best I agree but this game has the most realistic in-car driving feel of all rally games. When driving in dashboard view, the feel is so real because Xpand was made with literally tons of mathematical calculations on physics and vehicle dynamics

Well i think all SIM racers and rally drivers out there would agree that RBR feels more real and the physics are much better than Xpand Rally. If they make tons of mathematical calculations on physics, then they should atleast make the car behave like it does in real life.

I want a Nvidia 8800 Ultra, but considering how expensive it is, I'll wait for the next series... If you're going to pay $800.00 + for a card, might as well pay another couple of hundred and get the absolute best...

Richard Burns Rally is much better!

If you like realism, and enjoy a good challenge, RBR is the way to go. The graphics are more realistic, too... Not as *pretty* but they have more contrast, and a grittier look... Much better than the cartoon-ish look of XRX.

The physics are much more realistic, too... If you haven't played it, check it out, man. It's worth it.

That music here is from the game. It plays only at replays. And how you can hear, it´s not only the engine; the road, the ambient.... all the atmosphere. Artificial music and no ingame sound ruin all the fun.

erm...if you say so. We all have our own opinions mate, and i do agree that certain music does ruin game videos, but not in a crash video. On a hotlap or something you should not have music, but my vid was meant to be fast and action packked, which requires music to give a better atmosphere.
