Marilyn didn't play Loco in the movie, she played Pola, although she was the one with the glasses. Betty Grable was Loco in the film. Look it up, I'm not lying. I enjoyed this TV show as a kid and couldn't wait to have my own apartment, too. When I got one, it was about the size of one of their closets. ha ha Thanks so much for posting this episode.
The role of Loco must have been charmed: Marilyn Monroe played it in the movies, and Barbara (I Dream of Jeannie) Eden played it on TV. BTW, the ways the announcer said to not get into that country club (shoot, bribe, etc.) would all work now. In fact, marriage may have been the last of the options. A woman could f*** her way in as well.
no she didn't stand up and sing chattanooga choo choo, that dress is gorgeous . Its wonderful how style repeats itself, and barbara as loco too funny more please.
All three want the same millionaire? There are probably millionaires who would take that offer.
What city are they supposed to live in? If it's New York, I hope they got a 99-year lease on that apartment. The terrace alone is bigger than most NY hotel rooms, let alone apartments.
Loved this. Thanks for posting. We used to watch this after school when it was in syndication in NYC . I always remembered Barbara Eden was in the show but could never remember the other two actresses. I only wish there were some more episodes!
I was expecting to see a clip from the film but this caught me by surprise. I didn't remember there was a tv show until I saw this clip. I was 5 y.o. when this aired. I remembered Barbara Eden as "Loco". Must have watched it with mom. Thanks!
This was a syndicated series that was co-produced by the studio that released the original theatrical film version of "How To Marry A Millionaire", and National Telefilm Associates, as one of the initial offerings of the syndicated "NTA Film Network" in 1957-'58 (in New York, it aired on NTA's "flagship" station WNTA, Channel 13, in the days when it was a commercial TV station). 52 episodes were produced over a two-year period; this episode was first seen in most areas in October 1957.

Barbara Eden was the most popular on the show, and the best looking too.

You can't bribe your way in. You can't tunnel your way in. You can't shoot your way in.
You can only buy your way in.
Oooohhh. Classy.
Not.
