Vincent Price was in some great classic horror films! House of Wax, 13 Ghosts, Ghost Ship (I think) and some other horror film that I can't think of right now!
There is that cute face good to see ya. Nothing like seeing the end before the begining lol. The details and knowledge you have about these movies is just amazing to me. What a delightful early gift.
@cozzyk Thank you, Kim, you're so kind. Actually, a visiting friend was just racking me over the coals for not doing enough prep work or making notes on all of the various film facts. I told him that would be too much like work. LOL! I mean, it takes me long enough to get these clips shot, edited & uploaded. If I did it his way, I'd be at it for days at a time. I figure that I have enough stray bits of knowledge to fill 10 minutes. :-)
@gothling1955 Oh gracious you are full of facts info background like a book full. Tell me who your friend is I ll whack em one lol. I don't have that much knowledge on anything anymore. Course that's not my love my hubs is good at trivia not movies per say but trivia and can pull all sorts info out of his hat. I can learn things and retain if I have too or it intrests me lol. Not much intrests me anymore ;). Animals people and Betty Crocker type things. I know very sad lol.
So nice to get off work and venture over to YT and find this waiting for me! That sounds like a real mess with your first viewing of "Dragonwyck". And as for the proper pronunciation thing, I'M TERRIBLE AT PRONOUNCING THINGS!! So don't worry about it. And sexual abuse from a religious school? Wow, that is sooooo shocking! NOT. Great vlog, although it seemed a little better due to the certain circumstances of the week.
@moonfaye00 I'm so glad that you enjoyed it, Faith. I figured that you'd certainly be up for a few haunted house flicks, it's another of those things that we happily have in common. So yeah, I definitely wanted to get one of these uploaded this week, so you'd have something new to watch. I actually feel like doing some extra video projects this week, since I've been away from it for far too long. I hope you can relax now, after your long & tiring day at work. Hugs!
@gothling1955 I look forward to it then! Can't wait to see them! By the way, I am currently trying . . . keyword TRYING . . . To get a new Cemetery vid uploaded. So maybe . . . Fingers crossed . . . You'll have that to see by tonight.
@aohmann Thanks, Angie. For me, haunted house films are really at the center of what I like so much about the horror genre. Good or bad, they're quite a solid staple in the spooky flick fanatic's movie menu... As for the dolphin horror concept, I guess anything is possible. Maybe they could haunt the Japanese fishing vessels which still delight in making them into fish market selections. Hey wow, girl, you are a genius!!! :-)
I just checked Verizon FIOS On Demand and no DragonWyck, so I'll look elsewhere. Thanks for the suggestions. And it's good to see you again - YT isn't the same without you.
@thizizliz Thank you, Liz. Gosh, how sweet of you to say that... I hope you can find "Dragonwyck" somewhere or other, because in my humble view, it's really worth tracking down. Happily, it's nowhere near as rare as it once was. When I was still in high school, I saw Vincent Price on Johnny Carson's show singling it out as his own personal favorite of all those films in which he had appeared.
@DeathattacksReviews Thanks, C.F. I'm really glad to know that you somehow wind up getting something worthwhile out of these babble sessions of mine. And yes, I truly believe that there's such a rich reserve of old movies (specifically in the horror realm). It's a real pleasure to get to talk a little bit about some of them, I enjoy sharing my love of them. Also, I really appreciate you watching.
@BlueFlamingoVlogs Thanks, Adrian. I've been meaning to spotlight "The Changeling" for a while now, it seems. Each week, while celecting movies, my eyes would always fall on it and I'd almost go reaching for it. Then I'd see something else to grab up. Excellent film, and I never knew its full history until just before doing this vlog... Yeah, I was away too long. I'm glad to be back.
I was having a hard time trying to find the real history behind The Changeling, I'm glad I found this! Good work! Thanks!

We saw "The Changeling" not too long ago. Good to see you back. It seems like you've been MIA for a while.
