This part was lame. The villian was lame. SA2(for dreamcast) was by far better... I can say this cuz I played sonic 06 all of it.

@kaihedgie well, for one, the story line was better. The game play was nicer. Even for SA (dreamcast) I do admit the graphics are way better. I just felt and got the sonic vibe from SA2 better than from 2006. It felt cooler. I got sick playing 2006. i seriously had to put down the controller and walk around to stop feeling motion sickness from all the werid camera angle movements. Silver's game play was very annoying. I found that one level with the turtles super frustrating.

@Shinsengumi9439 I didn't like Mephiles upon first impression, but when I saw him in action, putting all of his plans into motion, his power and the ultimate realization that he wasn't out for revenge, but for pure malice and nihilism, a trait he shares with famous Final Fantasy antagonist, Kefka Palazzo. Eggman usually plotted to rule the world, Chaos was out for vengeance, Metal Sonic just wanted Sonic out of the picture and so on and so forth

@Shinsengumi9439 What set Mephiles apart from those other villains was he was a being of pure malice and hatred with the ability to plot and he had the intelligence to conjure up a such a scheme of such a grand scale that it transcended time and space and more than enough power to outclass even Shadow. He wasn't out for vengeance, he wanted everything destroyed. He wanted to end existence itself. Everyone is his enemy and it took three super-powered hedgehogs to defeat him.

@Shinsengumi9439 He crossed lines that not even Eggman wouldn't have dared to cross. He served no one and he had nothing to lose. Being pure evil for the sake of being evil is a plus for villains, especially when those villains are actually effective in what they do. In the end, he proved himself to be the most dangerous and malicious foe in the entire franchise because of both his power, influence and intelligence over everyone else in the entire series. Sometimes being plain evil is better

@kaihedgie at first when i played SA2 i had a hard time beating some of the levels like Tails' mission street. and crazy gadget with sonic and shadow. and the final story where you played as everyone. it was hard but eventurally i beat it. I didn't get mad or sick when i played it. I can play those levels and now and they are fun. the levels were also nicer in SA2. It really was an adventure. And in 2006 i don't care too much for the princess. Maybe if there was nothing between her and sonic i
