If it's taken at the point of a gun, it's definitely stolen. No question about it. NASA in particular is all wrong. They take tax money to partner with foreign interest and corporations to build technology that is overkill in almost every way conceivable. The real nasty part is that it's very difficult to eliminate, as they as a strategy have peaces of that ever they work on built in every state. Try to shut of funding on a pork project behemoth that has something in every state.
You could view everything funded with taxes as "stolen" including all military, all welfare, all social security, farms, power industry grants, grants for kids to go to school, grants for job training, building roads, lighting, police, fire. It is all stolen money if you want to look at it that way.
security is stormtroopers? I KNEW IT! Star Wars is a documentary.
But in all seriousness, I agree wholeheartedly with you, Tarrin. NASA should be totally private, and those who like it can donate their OWN voluntary funds. Besides, how does it serve any kind of 'national interest' as a gov't program? It doesn't add to defense and is just adding to the deficit. Yes, u can cite all the 'inventions' that NASA came up with, but that's more due to their large budget and scientists, not gov't.
@whoo689 If big private research labs had as much if not more money and scientists and manpower as NASA, I'm sure they'd just as easily have come up with shit like microwaves and velcro and whatnot.

@VANVALIS correct I do see it all that way, stealing is stealing no matter what reason or word they call it.

There's no "love" in my view of NASA. Going to the moon? What a waste of resources; STOLEN resources.

Nasa is my "favorite" government program. It is still wasteful, and holding mankind's space program back
