@timar03 And you my friend are full of stereotypes. Things like the used inks and tools matter, not in a way that many people think though, but it's still important. Nobody was talking about special brands or expensive stuff.

Any kind of rubber sponge with a stiff holder will do (easily made). You might have to try different colors. I like cheap chinese watercolors (or cheap inksticks), but had problems with watercolors from western brands, because they behave slightly different.

i love this art form, i am learning it, but its hard to find reference material on it, but if you go thru out little italy and chinatown in lower manhattan nyc you can see alot of ppl doing this
