I did not speak a word English, because in Holland English is teached to kids over ten years old. But, this song makes you feel. at least, I perfectly realized what this song was all about. this is not a song: this is art. Still live, for a ten years old is deadly. first, Jazz, then under my thumb, also perfectly understandable. a sixpack of beers... do I have to go on... They took my money, my life, and I would do it again
For the movie freaks, note that this is from the concert film "Let's Spend the Night Together." Its director was Hal Ashby, who is known for making "Harold and Maude" and "Being There" - you can't complain about lack of production value, this conveys a fall evening in the desert very well.
@Haevygunner what the hell are you talking about? The Stones put ten times the soul into this than the Temptations ever did, and they're a soul group!
@Ramu911 They get a little credit for coming up with their own take on the song, but no way in hell do the Stones come close to having as much soul the the Tempts. In fact all their covers of classic soul songs were appallingly lacking in soul.
This song was written by The Temptations this is the last tour where the Stones play without background singers with only Ian Stewart on piano Ian Mclagan on keyboards and Earnie Watts on Sax and I like it a lot cos I hate the back singers they play with nowadays
He is skinny, has the groove, he has the faces of all faces, has the lips and voice and is ... AWE ...Love Mick .. Always ...even now he is still Mick .. over the hill my Arse
One of my favorite cover songs. The Temptations version makes me wanna cry it's so sweet and sad. This version rocks and makes me want to bust out with my Jaggerisms.

it is a simple song to play it work with two chord
DerSatNam 2 years ago
No, it goes to a third chord for a bridge. In in A then it's A to D, but on the bridge it goes to E.

Mick has always played guitar. He writes alot of song on guitar and usually plays at least one song on guitar per show since about 1978.
