  • i remember as a kid i wanted double 3 but i ended up getting this instead i was a little disappointed and then when i played this i forget all about double dragon 3

  • hey thanks for the video. i have been tryin to figure out what the heck they were for

  • lol! thats great! Its been so long...that i forget if i bought the charmstone or not when i played the game. Wonderboy series is one of the best series hands down! :- D

  • Dude holy shit I got every magic upgrade in this game and you have more than me!!!!! Wow Just Wow

  • Was this using an emulator? I had to farm the gold on an actual Genesis. :)

  • errrr yes and no. This was part of the "Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 29: Monster World Complete Collection" which I was playing on an actual PS2. I do have the actual Genesis game as well, but during the time I had just bought this collection and was playing through it when I got the idea to record this.

  • @Gamingnerd where did you get this collection? I never heard of it.

  • @kingbooforums I bought this online. You probably never heard of it because it's a Japanese PS2 collection.

  • @Gamingnerd I kinda want this if I get a PS2...is it expensive on ebay though? and can an american PS2 play it?

  • @kingbooforums on ebay it's practically double what it goes for retail. I bought mine at an online retailer Play-Asia (.com). They've got it for $29 new, while ebay has a used copy for $48...

American PS2 can't play it however, you'll have to either buy a Swap Magic disk to get it to play, install a mod chip in the console, or buy a Japanese ps2. I have a Japanese PS2, so I can't exactly help with either Swap Magic, or mod chipping solutions.

  • @Gamingnerd what is a swap magic tool?

  • @kingbooforums When you put the Swap Magic disk in the ps2 it'll ask you to swap with whatever game you want to play. Normally you'd hit the eject button, but you can't do that. Instead you use that swap magic tool and stick it in the little opening of the disk tray (of the old fat model) and gently pull it out manually and swap with the game disk. It's a risky move as I've heard it can damage the gears to the tray, but as I said I don't have personal experience with it so I can't say for myself

  • The reason you can't just press the eject is because every time you press the eject button on your PS2 a signal is sent to the CPU of the console telling it the tray has been opened or closed. As soon as the PS2 receives this signal, it automatically re-checks the disc in the drive to verify that it is a legitimate copy before booting it up to play.

  • Good to know, but it really isn't worthwhile at this point in the game.

  • haha you used the exact same place as me for raising the gold for the charmstone. Theres another place in the castle in the sky where you can get one aswell i think. with the pigmy gear on.

  • Same, except I didn't know what the hell to do with that thing. 12 years later, watching that hidden door open blew my mind.

  • how do you get so many hearts im at that part and i only have 7 :(

  • You're gonna have to go back and do some more thorough searching in previous areas like the pyramid, and underwater, and jungle temple, just to name a few. Also look out for potential areas that may contain hidden doorways to un-accessable areas that have a chest.

  • If you go into the pyramid while as a pygmy, you can find a Charmstone by entering the passage you cannot normally enter when normal sized.

  • Woah! Such determination! I only ever got 1 charmstone on this game but I never even figured out what to do with it.

  • your insane!! that crazy farming o.O!! You'd do soo well playing World of Warcraft and farming for gold... ROFL

  • FAST MODE

  • Better than watching me kill the same 2 enemies for a half hour straight XD
