I suppoprt the creation of a Palestinians along the 67 borders with swaps so the Palestinians can have their own homeland. The people who chant from the river to sea Palestinian will be free are the type of people who are preventing a resolution to the conflict.
For a university event, this disruption is so shameful. And now the liberal loony protesters have come up with the latest insult to their own values - denying the right of free speech to whomever they believe shouldn't have it - sounds kind of totalitarian to me.
Does anyone care that this guy is an Arab and has a right to speak about what he thinks the solution is? Typical "pro-palestinian" westerners... Anyone who doesn't see the situation EXACTLY as them is ignorant at best or if not that then they support genocide!?! It doesn't matter if the person knows more than them, is an Arab living in Israel etc etc. Very fascist movement to stop an Arab from Israel from free speech!
I'm an Edinburgh graduate (I studied Persian, Arabic and Islamic Studies) and a former university lecturer in that field. I am astonished that the university authorities did not do what their counterparts in some US universities have done: bring in the police to arrest anyone disrupting a legitimate lecture. People have right to attend lectures in universities and to listen to arguments. These pro-Palestine activists resemble nothing more clearly than Nazi brownshirts in the 1930s.
Luckily these Palestinian supporters live in a western country with freedom of speech where they can protest what they want without the risk being harmed or arrested. They neglect to realize that Israel is the most democratic state in the middle east and only there can you can protest the actions of the government without fear of execution or arrest. Ishmael Khaldi is an example of an Israeli muslim that enjoys rights and freedoms he could not have in any other middle east country.
Instead of winning by achieving clarity through a tamed and dispassionate debate, victory is seen as "We stay, you leave (the room)".
For them, dominating the arena of free speech (the room) is more important than prevailing in the exchange of ideas that freedom of speech is meant to create.

@Shrunkinskulls Freedom of speech is fine, a rogue state collaborator spreading lies and propaganda is something completely different.
