umm if you have played the game, and not just played it for an hour or something like properly you will see, that granted the frame rate is a constant issue, but overall it doesn't affect the enjoyment you have for playing the game. and what your saying is because of frame rate issues a game should drop all the way down to 8.5 face it gt fuked it up with this guy, look at the metacritic score for this game and you will know what im talking about.

i can recommend it. every power and ability is nicely described, its not confusing in any way, and its got nice controls, also you can change the difficulty and how your team uses their abilities: from using them all to only defense to making it so you micro the entire party during battle.

well have you played fable? if so fable is a RPG. i havn't bought this game, but i have played other RPGs (fable 2, fallout 3, oblivion). most RPGs aren't instantly newcomer friendly because they are such huge games, but you get used to them. the biggest deal is really just getting used to all the moves, weapons, armor ect. and figuring out what everything does. most RPGs are a handfull at first, but in the long run they are worth it. being a shooter fan, you must relize RPGs relie on story.

This game is like a shooter rpg hybrid. If you are comfortable playing shooters. It is not exactly easy, but it is easy for a rpg newcomer to pick up and play. Unfortunatly, there are no tutorials, but you can learn everything very quickly. I highly suggest it.

First, it seems they included a lot of spoilers in their gameplay footage for some reason.

Second, why do none of these reviewers ever mention those GOD DAMNED ELEVATORS!

Third, I played with a soldier-class Shepard my first time, so I hardley ever had to use the menus.

And fourth, none of the technical issues or mildly tedius Mako sections are enough to make this anything less than a 9.5.

Good review. I agree on most points, but have found ways of getting around the main cannon on the Mako. I also found that too frequently the game had to stop and "load", so I installed the game to my HD and have effectively eliminated 100% of the random load times. Way more enjoyable eliminating all the loading! To get around the Mako main cannon issue, try using the Zoom feature (R3) from a cliff and practice shooting down, you'll now be able to hit objects beneath you...
