o.o watching u guys drive by there gives me the chills, I drive by there like every day, reminds me of when the fire started and my parents and I were out shopping at night and we could see the glow from the fire o.o
Wow. I take that freeway every week and i cant even recognize it at all in this video. Overall a great video, only thing i would change is how abrubtly it ended. But yeah otherwise great job!
Guys, your video reminds me of Elena's glowing bike ride from Kiev. Stay safe - you don't want to get caught behind the lines with whatever else is burning.
I live in Via Purdo in Yorba Linda and it as only like 1 mile from my house and ya I was so scary I couldnt sleep to think my friends house almost caught on fire on Green River in Corona dang this was so scary even though Im a guy.
"shiznat" well now i have to do a quote from south park. "flibity flobity flew" hahahaha you chould check out my video on the water dropper going directly over my house it was a DC-10
my house was in danger as well. and yes it was very exiting. i was exilurated. not to meniton i am a former fire fighter or the USDA. about 3 years back now. firefighers have a hard time after a structure fire to not cheer once its out. because it is devostating. but when your blood is pumping like that you get a sence of joy and fear at the same time.

You don't realize. Its more of a "fun scarred shock". they aren't laughing because its on fire or because their "arsonists" they are in total shock. In fact i never heard a full on laugh, just more of a "laugh" in their words.
These kids are laughing because they are terrified. There was no place to go.
I was there; we were all trapped on that Interstate. It made me realize that, in a disaster, you really are on your own. No one was telling us where to go or what to do. The radio stations were just inciting panic, saying, "This is the worst fire in 31 years!" They were not providing survival advice. We all thought we were going to die there.
That was a scary day, freakin weekend sucked. It looks like the world is coming to an end, I mean I haven't seen hollywood do any better than this, movies look so calm compared to this.
I cannot believe there is laughter. At that moment YOU were laughing, PEOPLE were loosing their homes! I live in Yorba Linda and was evacuated. I was fortunate. I would never laugh at something so horrible.
damn that's crazy! I really wanted to drive thru there just cause I wanted to see all the fires cause I know that area like the back of my hand but my mom said it was too dangerous but I would have totally done it! I hope my Olive Garden is safe! :P Anywho, its off of the Weir Canyon/Yorba Linda Blvd exit! ;)
holy shit man, I was in San Diego when I got the news because I go to college, but my family and friends all still are out in YL. Fuck that's intense...what exit was that near?
Wow- you guys must have passed through here right around when we did. We couldn't see as much of the fire because it was nothing but black smoke pouring onto the freeway where those flames were. I just posted my video as a response above. They must have shut the 91 down immediately after... crazy.
ya i live in yorba linda i remember we were trying to evacuate on la palma when the bike trail(full of brush and trees) started to have flames like 30ft it was scary i thought cars were gonna blow up lucklily the news said that my area where i live is ok
I still havent heard from my friend. I know she had to have been evacuated as one of the fires was about 1-2 blocks from her home :>(
my thoughts and prayers are out there for those who have lost their homes and for those brave people battling the fires to save someones life and home
Oh, 4 years ago, I was on the 215 fwy when they had the bad fires in san bernardino and I kid you not, i saw a 100 ft flame that jumped the fwy. I floored my car to the max and closed my eyes.

Sounded like they thought the whole thing was humorous-glad SoCal fires could be so entertaining for you guys. People LOST homes.

Total agreement, Stacy. I could understand the "excitement" of it all, but a little too much glee for such a tragic situation.

I had to go help my cousin evacuate. We believe her house was lost.
And the flames were pretty damn close.
