  • I played this song in G major :)

  • @rawrximaxtoaster Maybe that is the original key?

  • What key are you playing in?

  • @Amimi150 I'm playing in A flat, because that is the key used for this published piano arrangement. I can't remember what key the original vocal version is in.

  • @PSearPianist Thanks! And I just looked it up and the original is in A flat :)

  • You amazing and great to sing along to because i have a audition tomorrow to sing for a scolarship :D

  • @Plasticgirl1000 Thank you. I'm glad this helps with your preparation for the audition, and I hope you 'sail through' it and get the scholarship!

  • @PSearPianist Thank You :)

  • @PSearPianist Thank you i did get the scolarship ;)

  • @Plasticgirl1000 Well, congratulations, and if my video helped you, I'm delighted!

  • @PSearPianist Yes it did help very much thanks you

  • I've just watched Jackie Evancho's interpretation so I decided to search a home piano version and I found yours ... heavenly, congratulations, excellent tune ! Cheers from Mexico !!

  • @ReNoir20 Thank you very much - and greetings from UK!

  • My 13 year old son attedns an arts academy school and will be playing this beautiful piece for the end of the year school recital. I can't wait!!! I love your music!

  • Thank you for your kind comment - and I wish your son success with his performance!

  • After another few times listening to this I sought out a couple of the vocal versions you referred to - Saragh Brightman etc - and I found Sissel! No doubt you have heard of her as she is on your side of the world - if you haven't listened to her singing Pie Jesu please do - it is beautiful - I have now subscribed to your beautiful channel

  • Thank you! I have to say I have never heard of Sissel - but I will look out for her!

  • you have a beautiful piano, too. :D

  • Thank you!

  • beautiful, but try it slowly. PS: I'm a Russian singer and I'm training with your performance. :D Thank's.

  • Thanks for your comment, and good luck with your study of the piece. I am always likely to take a piano solo version of a vocal item a little faster than one would sing it, because I can't sustain the melody in the same way that you can!

  • You filled (and feel...) it out right! This is a beautiful piece, done perfectly. Thanks for uploading.

  • Thank you - that's very kind.

  • You play so beautifully - and you obviously love it - and of course this is a very beautiful and emotive piece of music

  • Thank you very much - I certainly do enjoy playing (most of the time!).

  • wonderful

  • Thank you!

  • That's a very gentle song.

  • It is indeed!

  • I have to disagree, I think the original with voice is the best... just piano doesn't say enough for me.

  • I don't think I said that the piano version was better than the vocal version (and certainly do not think that)- all I said was that of the piano arrangements in the book, this worked better than the arrangements of show extracts. This arrangement might of course be of use to someone learning the piece who wants something to sing along to!

  • "Sonata, what do you want of me?"
