This is really great to see. Thanks soo F*cking much for posting this. This is rare indeed. i dont think Shane has even seen this. Kudos to you man.So to whoever posted this..Do you have Angel Of Death on video or Graniulle? That would be the ultimate. I just have audio. happy birthday Shane-Mac
I don't have any other Shane's videos. I just transfered that gig from my old video tape into the hard drive and posted here. Not so happy with the quality as the original stuff on the tape looks much better despite the fact it was recorded on ancient video player in 4:3 format. Well, glad you like it! Cheers!
just look at his interaction with audience in this video which is nothing....compared to now where he is liveley and spinning around the stage,.........replaced heroin with coke....but i like this phase of shanes career.....some good songs with a band that where at the top of their game....boy how they nose dived.....god rest tommy...who i bumped into a few times after gigs....a nice guy cursed with the drink.....does anyone thinls shanes madeness is a degree faked.....?????
@maxvolmue99 I dont what you mean by his madness..I mean Ive known Shane for many years and anyone who knows him will tell you, hes not putting up any act at all. If anything its other people who create stories or legend about him. But if you mean is he mentally ill? well he has had nervous breakdowns in his past and hospitalizations for psychiatric reasons. He is the same person off stage and just as accident prone.LOL... Its great to see people talking about these years of the Popes which..
@maxvolmue99 For those of us who were THERE in the late 90's to early 2000's, It was a magical time for his output in song, that is when he bothered to show up which he often didnt which pissed off alot of fans. If anything this was the only thing that makes shane i guess pretentious but yer right this was the smack battling years and we know who is to blame for that without naming. many of the Popes were ripped off of their earned money. Not by Shanes knowledge at all. But well u know who u are
@maxvolmue99 But really..Im glad to see others remember tommy, who shane was friends with since they were 16 yrs old. He often called Tommy his Shoulder Angel. And mostly Tommy was making a strong effort to not drink soo much after his liver transplant. But hanger-oners pushed him always to get wasted. it really sucked when Tommy passed and Shane was depressed as hell.Tommy was such a good heart. you couldnt meet anyone nicer than MacAnimal. Its very cool 2 see people remeber Tommy + The Popes
@maxvolmue99 But ...Shane for the most part smokes a ton of weed now more than anything else. And it does suck to see him spun out or coked when it does in fact happen occasionally. He just took a nasty fall last week on stage which seems to happen more and more these days.I always thought he was faking this. But over the years I see it as exhaustion and not giving a shit I'LL JUST COLLAPSE HERE. He does that when the show is boring or he's tired and wasted.God he's been touring way too much
Once again, thanks for these videos. There's practically no footage of Shane's glory days with the Popes. He is pretty whacked out on smack, but this is classic footage! Many thanks my friend. Long live Shane, my number one lyricist.
As Mr.Monty Burns from the Simpson's
would say.....EXCELLENT!!!!
