  • Slade made their best Album during the awful punk years and the masses missed it! The aggression in their music to that certainly shows here. Slade and their loyal fans had no where to run. We were all ridiculed and having no chart success meant that SLADE couldnt get bookings in concert halls coz if you didnt sell masses you didnt play! Today bands that haven't had any real chart success in 20 years can charge 40 quid for a set of old hits from yesteryear and play arenas. Shameful really

  • Slade's masterpiece. I am sure about it...

  • this album is a masterpiece,,, dont overlook this classic whatever you dooooooo

  • GAVE MY EX BOSS A LIFT OME TO THIS AT FULL THROTTLE YEARS AGO. LOCKED HIM IN AND TURNED IT UP TO MAX. EXQUISITE PASSION AND TORMENT. HEH HEH HEH. HE NEVER MENTIONED MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN. THIS IS SLADE THE REAL DEAL.THIS IS WHAT THESE GUYS WOZ DOIN WHEN THE PISTOLS AND THE CLASH WERE FARTING AROUND WITH T5HREE CHORDS AND THE WHOLE WORLD BAR A SMALL HANDFUL OF US LOYAL FANS HAD SOLD OUT TO BLOODY PUNK. THIS LOT WERE PEAKING AND THE MASSES MISSED IT. HOW VERY SAD.

  • Gypsy Roadhog..... the greatest ever driving song.

    LLTMS !!

  • Better SLADE`s album!

  • The best and most underplayed heavy metal album ever made..

  • @67Shaunyboy HERE HERE MY MAN. They were playing their brand of Heavy Metal when the sad masses were buying punk rock. GOD BLESS YOU SHAUNYBOY.

  • @TheShotgunslade there are some gr8 heavy punk bands dont b a music snob slade r the best at this genre no dout

  • @punkpopnotdead To tell a SLADE fan he is a musical snob is hilarious. you obviously werent around at the time to see how the snob nme attacked them.Punk musicians were mostly pink floyd types from uni with hair cuts trying to be ever so cool by disguising their high brows by playing three chords. Disco music and PUNK destroyed Slade and I was there adnd will NEVER EVER forget that.

  • @TheShotgunslade i love slade saw them at malvern winter gardens and thay are still the best live band i have sin but 2 blame a hole genre of music 4 there demise is daft ps i was around in the sixties and have bin 2 more gigs than i can remeber and u r rite the press did not give them a good time but that was bcus thay did not go 2 london and kiss there ass wich i am proud of 2 this day but mayby un wise as i sade i am a big fan

  • my all-time favourite SLADE album.....I didn't appreciate then as much as I did later on.....it saw SLADE return to their heavier, rockier roots and at the time I don't think I expected it...but I love every track and still play it to this day......

  • Again another EXCELLENT album (one of my fav's), ironically at their least popular time in their career - they ALWAYS carried on in the face of adversity.

Obviously you need to hear it in its entirety to fully hear the tracks properly and the many great riffs etc!
