I have always admired Tai for his personality and character. And the fact that everyone wanted Tai to end up with Sora, well i also thought the same till season 1 but then in season 2 when Sora left him and choose Matt and specially after that Christmas gift, she didn't deserve to end up with Tai. She betrayed him even after Tai put his life in danger to save her from Datamon(season 1). Tai did the best thing by letting her go cause she simply wasn't meant for him...

@kyledubrule In the japanese version during the epilogue, Biyoman says something along the lines of take care of your brother (which is clearly Matt's kid). In the American version Biyomon just says be careful or something, so they don't actually make it official that Sora and Matt are together.

It's just that Sora loved Matt and he loved her and Tai knew that and in order to keep his strong bond with both his friends and not jeopardize their close relationship, he let Sora go to be with Matt.
