Hey there...yer we are in England and had Casper n Charlie DNA sexed with a company called Avian Biotech. All you do is pluck out about 4 or 5 chest feathers and send them off....first though you fill out a form and they send you a kit which you return with the feathers, Think it cost aboiut £13 a bird plus you get a certificate. Took about a week to get results and plucking the feathers didnt hurt them at all. x
A little thing to look for is tht the females often have lighter grey wing feathers...Caspers are alot lighter than Charlies...he has very dark grey wing feathers. x

How adorable. I just LOVE the way they actually "practice" what they've learned. I have a 22 yo Yellow Nape amazon that I raised from him being weaned, and he STILL "practices" all the time, I love it!! I'm sure he has learned so much more by now! I hope all is well.

I know what you mean, LOL. Ours fertilises everything and everywhere around the house. We take ours to the local park every week for an hour inside a large cat carrier. He/she goes crazy when we show her the carrier meaning she is going out.
blesssss lol....we have had Casper from 12 weeks old. Think If I remember right we brought him over at the end of January 07. My daughter went away to Italy on ski trip mid Feb n Casper said hello for the 1st time while she was away...n it progressed to hello u alright! lol. He is a early talker tho. We got his brother Charlie last Sept when the people tht had originally bought him decided they wanted a Amazon instead. There both excellent talkers considering they only turned 1 in November.

We tried and tried early on with our Chad but only succeeded in mumbles and I think it was about 2 and half before he made any sense lol.
