  • We finally switched her reflux meds from Prevacid to a more potent Nexium and it made a huge difference. Now she only does those twisting, bobbing movements if I skip a dose or two or if she's over-tired. She is eating so much better and overall a happier baby.

A lot of babies arch or stretch there neck to try to elongate their esophagus because it somewhat reduces the acid relux through the esphageal opening.

  • My son does this, except he raises his head, as if stretching out his neck. It's scary. What medications did your dr prescribe? Im interested bc I would like to ask my sons pedi about them for my son.

  • As an update to this video....brain MRI & 1 hour video EEG normal. GI specialist ordered a pH probe to check reflux & bingo! Positive correlation with a drop in the pH in her esphagus with the bizarre movements. Babies do strange things when they are in pain. We're trying new reflux meds.

  • Hmmmm...my daughter had almost the same thing...she got several EEG's which turned out to be normal so they finally diagnosed benign myclonus.

Hope your daughter is doing well
