I have this ball, almost with a similar layout, as in the beginning, and I use it for a spare ball, or when the lanes are burned up, and it seems to work pretty good. Reads the lanes much later, but with very good carry.

if i were you i would get a brunswick to start hooking it,, brunswick rolls more consistant .
