  • can i ride these bikes at 17?

and what bike has the best acceleration and speed out of these?

someone get bak to me asap

  • @phantom2k10 it depends on where you live. i'm 17, i live in sweden and i can get any of these bikes. in fact i might be getting the yamaha soon. my friend already has the aprilia, and as far as i know because it's a two stroke it accelerates the fastest out of most 125 bikes. it is also the fastest 125 bike at a speed up to 163 i think. not entirely sure on the top speed, so i'd suggest looking into it. but the aprilia definitely is the best bike when it comes to speed and acceleration.

  • im 190cm tall, are this bikes to small for me? if not which one is the best? want to buy the yamaha aprilia or derbi gpr.thanks

  • @sam123852 definetly aprilia.

  • @sam123852 derbi will hurt your back, the riding position of that bike sux.

  • do you need to were leathers?

  • aprilia rs will always be king, i have the rs50 now and i love it, cant wait to get the 125 next year! 2 stroke FTW!

  • @hazzaa95 aprilia rs will not always be king.... 4-5 years noone will remember! 2stroke engine is not "up to date"

  • @Duffmanohyeahr agreed, but two strokes are faster :)

  • @hazzaa95 0-200ccm² ye they are ... over 250ccm³ they arent

  • i have a aprilia rs 125 2 stroke now but but I could have had a cbr instead of but are more satisfied with an aprilia sory may bad englich i`m from norway :D

  • Visit OneTwoFive.co.nr

  • i'd prefer yamaha YZF- R-125

  • Is the rs4 125 restricted aswell like the 2stroke model??

  • GUYS PLEASE HELP ME,,, IM SO CONFUSED !! I DONT KNOW WHICH BIKE SHOULD I GO FOR (YAMAHA 125 OR THE APRILLIA 125) AS A FIRST BIKE... IM ATTENDING TO KEEP THE BIKE FOR MAYBE THE NEXT 2 OR 3 YEARS. IM LOOKING FOR LOOKS AND AS WELL AS POWER AND SOUND.

  • @almosha3ter The Aprilia would drive me insane. I'd go for the Honda or the Yamaha.

  • @almosha3ter

the aprilia is more powerful if you get the 2stroke but when it comes to sound

it depends what you prefer 2stroke or 4

  • You cant compare 2 strokes and 4 strokes! 2 strokes are fast but they eat too much fuel for my wallet! 4 strokes arent so fast but they are more reliable and ecological!

  • if your looking for a fast bike get cagiva mito

  • looks like 3 kids looking for their first fuck.

  • i wish one of these bikes were easily available in the U.S.

  • @infernaltechno cbr isthe cheapest one so take the cbr

  • @andreas8022 coincidentally enough, my brother got a cbr250 shortly after i wrote this (aka last week). got to test drive it and it's great!

  • id like a yammy but to expensive for a 125 so thats why i got my cbr

  • Thing is, Rs 125 is not learner legal... too powerful, 2 stroke and fucking unreliable

  • @Olinolan190 You sure its not!? thats made my mind up then cheers (Y)

  • @Mant0r

You could probably find a learner legal rs 125; but they're expensive and still unreliable 2 strokes... Im getting a Honda Cg125 after my cbt for a couple of monthes and then moving onto a Cbr125 or Yzf; they're good125's and if you're after speed then there's no point really; speed limit is 70 most places now and both Cbrs and Yzfs will do that. If you pass restricted acess you can ride up to 33bhp (Rs125 is 33bhp)

  • @Olinolan190 rs 125's come restricted meaning they are learner legal and 2 strokes are reliable it just depends on what way you ride it. i have had my rs for a year now and its never gave me any trouble i run good 2 stroke, warm it up well and rev the complete pish out of it ! the only thing ive had to do is change the plug and gearbox oil. id defiantly recommend 1 because once you pass your test and are looking for a bit of fun all you have to do is restricted it where as the the 4stroke well..

  • @Conzo53

A lot of places i've been to look at bikes have said i cant do my cbt on an rs125 or ride one on a cbt.. Im sticking to a Honda Cg125 until i can afford a Yzf or Cbr 125. 2 stroke oil is pricey and they drink petrol apparently. Cbt limits me to 14 bhp, rs 125s are apparently 33 or 25bhp so meh... Maybe they lied to me

  • @Olinolan190 the cg is a great bike to do the cbt. its light and easy to ride i done mine on a cg125 tho i only got a lend of it off friend. now im on my rs 125. the bike is not hard to fuel if you drive it easy tho it can be expensive if you ride hard (70 - 100) mph or so.. however if you get a run on a crisp rs 125 with good tires on a twisty road u'll fall in love with it !

  • @Conzo53

My dad had an Rs125 and a 250 chesterfield (Max Biaggi) and i rode the Rs125 for practice... Awesome bike, i'd love to have one but i'd want to use it properly and that'd cost me...

  • @Olinolan190 nice in fairness the rs isnt bad on the fuel except when u hit the powerband then it fukin drinks it :L

  • POWER RANGERS ACTIVATE!

  • HELP ME! all these videos say different things!!! WHICH IS ACTUALLY THE BEST OF: Yamaha R125 SS, Aprillia RS125, Derbi GPR 125???? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

    Thank ya!

  • I would get the R125 if it didn't sound like it had diarrhea..

  • Honestly I can't decide between the yamaha or the honda... I've been leaning more towards the honda, can anyone help me here? :) Mostly for everyday city use

  • C'mon admit it guys...Honda CBR125R is a great bike...for begginers at least!!

I am gonna get this next month! :-)

  • @1993helengirl awesome, I want to get a YZF R125 but it costs soo much so I might get the CBR too :)

  • @1993helengirl I'm happy for u. It's a beautifull bike, and it is a comfortable bike, I own a mito... It is the fastest 125cc, but not that comfortable :)

  • @1993helengirl Comment was postd a month ago, have you got this bike yet?

  • @JestersJukebox yea! i did! great bike ;)

  • @1993helengirl you have right, i have honda cbr 125 08(first bike) and ist very good bike for learning. my record is 140 km/h =]

  • @1993helengirl You're a girl i see...Yes the bike suits you perfectly :) and yes it is a good starting bike but! because its a 4-stroke the power isnt quite there or it is but then again its not

  • @1993helengirl

    CBR125 = ugly

    RS125 = shitty 2 stroke sound

    R125 = perfect ^^

  • @Xz313 2 stroke is best!

  • @Xz313 dude how retard are you? you make desicions by sound? if you dont like the sounds of 2 stroke you must be gay, and you can get em better by changing exhaust. for 125cc aprilia gives you the best performance of those bikes tested. ive tried all those bikes and i never regret the day i bought my 125 rs.

  • @csbfhalocrysis

i never said the RS125 was bad...i just dont like the High pitched "Lawnmower" Sound. Thats why i prefer the Yamaha. I know that 2 Stroke are better at the Speed and such. But really...Speed doesn't matter on a 125cc. And the in my Country there are law restrictions so the RS125 would have too much power and i would have to make another License that i cant do right now ;)

  • @Xz313 we have restriction of 15hp/11kW here, and i dont give a shit. you shouldnt either =) also dont give a fuck about the sound, after jollymoto exhaust you will love the sound of it.

  • @csbfhalocrysis

    where do you live ?

  • I have owned both an aprillia and a honda. the aprillia was fast, and a 2 stroke, It fell apart. The honda, a 4 stroke, not as fast but its still going and probably will for years to come

  • ''MCN test: Yamaha R125 takes on , Aprilia RS125 and bike with cbr machine'' -_-''

  • Comment removed

  • i bought an RS 125 and i haven't stopped riding it since i think its a beautiful machine and its like shit of a stick! ;)

  • Get these bikes in the US!

  • @TokyoThai No thanks, you already get EVERYTHING.

In Finland most of us start riding some kind of bikes when we're 15 (I got my Derbi Senda X-race), and that's one thing we Europeans do differently. If I wanted to see a big event, I'd have to get to the USA. You want bikes, get your ass over the pond and buy one.

  • @StardomGaming

Let him kill himself by being retarded. He doesn't realize that he wouldn't be the only one on the road.

  • because i watched this video, youtube is suggesting i watch horse breeding.

  • Honda CBR = Good price good fun :D

  • I cannot stand 2 stokes they sound SO stupid

  • @StardomGaming whats bike safety ive never heard of it RETARD

  • @StardomGaming its not as if there quick anyway so even if you do come off more damage to the bike than you so therefore i think your the retard

  • @TxGMx in Croatia, you can ride 125cc at 16 ;)

  • Comment removed

  • 4 months till im 17 i dno what to get every1 says that rs 125s break but they look just as good as the yzfr125 and there much faster any help :(

  • i think, it's impossible to chose from these 3 for me :/, since yamaha is good looking, honda is in the middle, and apprillia is the best from these 3. What should i chose when i turn 16?

  • @zb0z when your 16 you can only drive a 50cc sorry mate

  • @TxGMx

No it depends where you live smartass. In most countries its 16...

  • @Az3trk Well im talking about the UK.

  • @zb0z

Iäm debating between the RS125 and the CBR125.

Aprilia - awesome, 2 stroke, nice handling, fast

Honda - efficient, nice sound, better rotational power, and no 2 stroke oil refills.

The yamaha just doesn't do it for me, it looks like it can do 200+ until you get close, then you realize its not only slow but tiny and just looks odd. I don't know don't like it

  • @Az3trk hEy RETARD dnt u kNOw yamaha is on ToP OF THe world in racing ,handelling, pick up, internaional looks, poWERED PERFORMANCE.....U need to study about bikes first then use ur fuckng retard mind .....hope for betterment of your mind.. good luck

  • @BeingAbbasVEVO

Jesus Christ who shoved the pole up your ass? And no not at all. You know there are many factors, many classes too. I would take the argument with you, but I won't for three reasons:

One, you seem like a troll just saying that to get attention.

Two, you seem like a 12 year old that thinks Yamaha is the best just because your dad owns one.

And three, you seem damn near illiterate.

  • @zb0z yamaha is best aprilla middle then comes honda

  • Im 6'2 and really want to start biking, however I am aware I would look like a muppet on a small 125, hell I would probably look a bit odd on a 1000cc engine!

  • @nrjelley 125, bikes the frames arn't always smaller its usally just the engine size. You can get bigger framed bikes.

  • Are these race machines? Or can I go on one after doing my CBT? ( I mean SHOULD I) or is it for more race enthusiasts?

  • @heald111111111111111

It tops out at 78mph. And it doesn't get there that quickly, either. Most people recommend the 250's for starters. You would be fine on this.

  • @heald111111111111111 At 16 years old, after a CBT, you are limited to 50cc and 30mph maximum speed. At 17 you can pass your CBT, insure, fit L plates and ride any of these bikes shown, on the road. CBT entitles you to ride (At 17) a bike up to 125cc with a maximum power output of 15bhp. If you pass your full test on a 125cc bike at 17, you are limited to 33bhp for 2 years. Then unlimited. At 21, you can do a direct access course, pass your tests and then ride any power/capacity of bike.

  • shitest review ever, told me nothing

  • @Imakemonkey36 we do everywhere else too fool.

  • in america, we ride 1000 cc bikes

  • @imakemoney36

    stupid

  • @imakemoney36 In other countries, they have things called 'corners'.

  • @imakemoney36 in America if the Italians and the Japanese do not build bikes again you Americans would go around with these tractors of Harley

  • Either yamaha r125 and cbr125 try to reach the performance and handling of a rs125... They can keep on dreaming... ;)

  • @RadicakX but the yama runs 40 kilomter on 1 liter, and the aprillia has to stop every 500 meters.

  • @joshshoot If u fitted a big bore kit,32fcr carb, arrow exhaust and u never drop under 10000rpm maybe and if u have the older one( 2005>).But this test is wrong,u have to compare same things to see which is better. How u compare a 2stroke bike with 4stroke bikes?? Totally different, different power, different power band, different consumption etc etc. It is like testing rs250 nsr 250 and ninja 250...

  • @RadicakX performance is not everything... i agree that they are tottaly different build, but they stay in the same CC class, and the horsepower that come with that class, and this test is mostly about buying your first bike, and as a first bike its looks(your young, you wanna be cool right?) , handling(getting confident with bikes) and the efficiency(more mpg is cheaper, important.) of a bike are important when you get a new/first bike, i would definately go for the yamaha.

  • @joshshoot I didn't say that performance is everything,i always put safety first, next performance and last the look.Aprilia has better brakes, better susp,it's consumption is not really that high cause they make it to get euro 4-5, i don't remember exactly, approval.Look, for me,the right test is to compare only 2 stroke(aprilia rs 125,cagiva mito 125,rieju rs2 etc) and only 4 strokes(cbr 125,yamaha r125,yamaha xt125 etc).A mix of that is not accurate.

  • @RadicakX mmm i get what your saying, but they say 2 strokes break down all the time?, people have lots of trouble repairing their 2 stroke 125's every week, 4 stroke is way more reliable, but yeah it sacrifices speed, but it doesnt really matter for me if its a 2 stroke or 4 stroke, if its a bike with the same amount of CC's thats what matters to me, if you have 4 stroke i just see it as a + spec, and this test is most about your first starter bike, and its about a small, 125, and cool bike.

  • @RadicakX

Are you serious. These bikes are aimed at people with a CBT. rs125 is nothing with a restrictor in. Go get it unrestricted, after, you have passed your mod1+2.

  • @RadicakX RS125 sounds like a little scooter and doesn't last you 1 year without spending a good amount of money maintaining it. Horrible bike.

  • @RadicakX Either Derbi GPR and Aprilia Rs125 try to reach the performance and handling of a Cagiva Mito... They can keep on dreaming... ;)

Mito has world reacord of Fullpower 125cc top speed btw.

  • La migliore è a parer mio l'rs..2 tempi scattante e una velocità max elevata per un 125... poi beh secondo la scuola dei motociclisti la moto si sceglie perché lo si sente non perché è un 2 o 4 tempi.. no??:)

  • lol my first bike is a 600cc Ninja, but ive been riding dirtbikes for 6 years

  • @christopher5444 Haha, lol. Thats maintenance on ALL two strokes. No joke read a manual of the aprilia RS125. They even say in it that prolonged use of high RPM treatment will greatly Reduce the life of the bike. Two-strokes require a top end rebuild after 16k use anyway. I could understand that yeah if you want a reliable bike then yeah four stroke. But they are just under powered as a 125. 16k miles is plenty and if you cannot afford to rebuild it after that then quite frankly don't own a bike

  • Pfft Contender! Yeah right. The only competition the Aprilia will have are the cagiva mitos. Two strokes are faster than four strokes. Fact. So how you can say that the cbr125 has 'Ruled' I don't know. In what aspect has it ruled? Fuel Economy. Good for the enviroment. Fair enough. But in relation to performance, speed and handling. Yeah right is it bush. RS will take em all on. If your guna test bikes, make sure that they are all the same aspiration.

  • @christopher5444 not with proper maintenance. look after your bike it'll look after you back. plus being a bit pedantic it a rebuild every 16,000

  • german please

  • @njgfskfbasdjkfnsdojk learn english

  • @shortee3353 your a retard! I wear leathers on my yzf r125.

  • they tried to catch up with a mito

  • jeans and a t shirt wont protect you from the hard ground. gloves and a good biker jacket will. look silly stay safe.lol

  • leathers on a 125 are you really that much of a retard?

  • @shortee3353 no matter what size bike, always wear protection. if you want to ride bikes, do it properly.

  • @shortee3353 are you fucking stupid? 100km/h is the same whether you are riding a 1 litre engine or a 125cc DICKHEAD!!

  • @shortee3353 So enlighten us, how is 100km/h pavement different on a Harley Roadking than on a Honda CBR125?

  • @shortee3353 I wear leathers on a 50cc.. Aprilia RS50 if i crash at 60mph on it, i'd rather not die. Saying that these are faster...

  • going to pick up my honda cbr up tonight cant freakin wait

  • I like it, too great. this is the dream of my 19 years. in Viet Nam, the price of this car is about 2500 usd, but I can not afford it .. I'll try to work hard. hopefully in 3 years I'll buy this car.

  • @marco6789yeah google translator? =)

  • I like it, too great. this is the dream of my 19 years. in Vietnam, the price of this car is about 2500 usd, but I can not afford it .. I'll try to work hard. hopefully in 3 years I'll buy this car.

  • Who the hell would compare a 2 stroke with a 4 stroke? that was one LAME move MCN made!

  • @COD88MONEYMAN I think its more of a case of comparing the current 125cc market. Yes of course the aprilia will win hands down in terms of performance. I own one myself and love it. However the 4 strokes are a little more forgiving and from my experience the cbr 125 has a little more low end grunt than the aprilia.

Though for me 2-T wins everytime! Love the smell of 2T oil burning! haha

  • @UKFreedomFighters Its obvious that a 2stroke of the same capacity will dominate such a test, On the streets its all about the manufacturers specs, but on track it all depends on how you tune and set up the bike

  • I had a yamaha TZR 125cc. it took over from the yamaha RD 125. I rode that bike everywhere, everyday of the year for 9 months. it was a two stroke race bike. If 2 stroke are ran with fully synthetic 2-stroke oil... they will last forever, and also, it was the fastest 125cc on the road.

  • I have the CBR 125 and I am 6'2 tall (190cm). I do look kinda silly on the big as I am so tall, but you know what? I don't give a damn what people think! I love my bike <3

  • silly test, the bikes aren't meant to be the same full on racer. The Aprilia is a racer, the yamaha is a racer but for those who aren't as extreame or who can't afford the aprilia and the Honda is for those who are smarter with their money

  • Comment removed

  • @ordi75 yusomad thoooo?

  • @TubeTheUnknown Damn right.

  • Comment removed

  • Wen is MCN gonne do a video of the new honda 125R 2011?

  • Omg the Honda has very narow wheels :S

  • Unfortunately, we can only have 4-stroke 125s in the States. Bloody EPA!

  • those are hot

  • Has anyone else noticed the horse breeding video on the right :s

  • @MrJaggedman yes but i am not into these things

  • "the cbr has ruled the 125 sports market"

get your head out of your fucking arse and do some research...

    google Mito or NSR

  • wheres the fucking mito !!!!ohhh yeah there it is a little speak in the sunset screaming its powervalved head off hahahaha!!!!

  • riding these 4 stroker means to twist full throttle most of the time to feel the winds..

  • riding these 4 stroker means to twist full throttle most of the time..

  • Well i wont be buying mcn magazine anymore, they dont have a clue if they think the 4 stroke yamy is better than the rs.

  • @vrossino46 if you listen to what he says he says that the rs is better overall but for everyday use the yamy was better and i would agree having had an rs 125 they tend to be alot less reliable especialy in the colder months and can be alot more costly to fix but thats just my two cents!

  • The Honda is the best...

  • im 6.1 feet tall, is that to tall for a any of these bikes? m just starting

  • @habs4life41 i wanna know that as well 6.3 here

  • The Cbr is an ok bike ... nothing special ... the Yamaha looks really amazing but the rs125 is by my choice the best even for its price its a lot of fun for under 18s who aren't allowed to have bigger cc and it can keep up with the kawasaki 250 pretty easily.... the engine does sound very high pitched but it's a lot better then the cagiva mito which sounds like a lawn mower :)

  • are you from norfolk mate?

  • anybody knwo the top speeds on these bad boys

  • out of all honda looks like shit...where as aprilla is best..

  • @akhil5994

so you'd rather have a 50cc aprilia to a 125 cbr cos it lks better, douch

  • The Honda is so god damn ugly! Way too slim! Are those wheelbarrel tires?!

  • @MarshallATV oh boy... it's a 125cc and it doesn't want to be a bigger bike - the yzf r125 and the aprilia both look like they are powerrful 600cc bikes... btw. you get more than enough grip with those tires, but less rolling resistance (which is important with so little power!) so you can go faster, also the slim bodywork in general allows higher speeds! you really have to look at 50cc racebikes from the 60's - now these were really slim, but capable of up to around 110mph!!

  • @purpleGoAhead I didn't say the tires had bad grip or that the bike wasn't quick... But it does look ugly!

  • everybody forgets the cagiva mito...

  • is everyone forgetting about learners who have only passed their CBT.

  • @lubathegreat

is CBT like the 125 license we have in france ? cause all i found on the internet was cock and ball torture

  • i do like the aprilia the most, just the sound of it though i dont like that much

  • thumbs up if u your going to click on the horses next :D

  • @tomocool99 lmfao so wrong why the fuck is that there

  • aprilia sounds too squeeky

  • @Blackops272 small 2 strokes always do

  • @peavyt15 my scooter is a 2 stroke and doesnt sound like this it's a 50 cc :P

  • age can get's to balls aswell ey. fags get a real bike men

  • Omg Kj u really dont have other job then mess in other people's discussion?

  • The money saved by buying a cbr than an yzf could be used to make the cbr much better than the yzf

  • yamaha ftw

  • Come one , dont be a smartass , i mean u rev it till u get 100-120 ... FGS ... u really are a little boy . To mentain a 120 km/h not more on a silly 125 RS u rev it like7-8k at least ... and its a 2stroke i know a pal that have to rebuilt the engine twice in a summer just cuz he loved to keep up and make journeies whit the guys whit big bikes ( over 4-600 ccm ) . Yeah im not the fan of 125 and nedeer the 250's but i am of the 500 ones but not GP , just Kawa EX 500 , others and the naked ones

  • @motanelustelistu You get an award for one of the all time worst and most poorly written comments I have ever seen on YouTube. Congrats!

  • I want one when I'm 13

  • Pacrat90 u gotta be kidding me ... 1200 pound ( 1600 Euros ) for a 125 ccm bike? u gotta be kidding me ... i can get a 400 ccm Suzuki Bandit after 1994-5 whit like 700-750 pounds ( 1000 ) Euros and u wanna pay more then double for a 125 ? even if its 4 stroke its wayyy more then it worth it. Bikes after u get it out of showroom there walue drop like a stone ... even its a 2006 one u dont pay more then 900 pound on it never ...

  • Angelus u speak like an underage , thats no reason to buy the aprilia . A real biker will choose a 4 or 600 ccm one and if wanna 125 never choose a 2 stroke one. When an older RS go by me and i was looking on the other side , i just felt like a chainsaw drove by me . You always choose a 4 stroke cuz if u wanna go on so long journeys its not gonna let u down , but if u rev an RS even to 100-120 its gonna brake down and that the last thing u want in a vacation whit your friends on bigger bikes

  • @motanelustelistu Buy a 6?A real biker?No,that's what poser fools do!

And rev to 100-120?You don't rev it to a certain speed, but to a certain RPM.

NHF,but you're talking out of your ass,and I've already rebuilt 2 RS',and trust me,they're still out there on the road.

One of 'em is my own,and it is now a half track day bike.

Also my friend journeyed from Croatia to Czech Republic on an '01 RS125.

    I see you've never been a fan of 125,250 and 500cc GP.

Pal,you're missing a big thing in your life.

  • Totally agree whit 17Stickman thee guys looks so silly on that small bikes , but the're the one to criticize

  • The Yamaha just looks like a chode while the aprillia and honda are nice and stretched

  • Their still lame ass 125's..

  • which one could you get cheapest second hand? and how much would it roughly be?

  • @lolzords234

I'd think the Honda CBR125R, i'm getting one for 14 000 South African Rand, about 1200 Punds

  • the usa is retarded. for some reason we can't have these over here
