@phantom2k10 it depends on where you live. i'm 17, i live in sweden and i can get any of these bikes. in fact i might be getting the yamaha soon. my friend already has the aprilia, and as far as i know because it's a two stroke it accelerates the fastest out of most 125 bikes. it is also the fastest 125 bike at a speed up to 163 i think. not entirely sure on the top speed, so i'd suggest looking into it. but the aprilia definitely is the best bike when it comes to speed and acceleration.
@phantom2k10 I'm also 17 in England and I have a CBR125, it's awesome to say the least. I've really not had anything done to the bike besides a different exhaust and I can get 70mph quite easy, acceleration is also good too. the CBR125s are also pretty thin bikes and can get through the traffic quite easy! not to mention there's a massive market for the cbr125s and you can pick them up pretty cheap.
i have a aprilia rs 125 2 stroke now but but I could have had a cbr instead of but are more satisfied with an aprilia sory may bad englich i`m from norway :D

You cant compare 2 strokes and 4 strokes! 2 strokes are fast but they eat too much fuel for my wallet! 4 strokes arent so fast but they are more reliable and ecological!
You could probably find a learner legal rs 125; but they're expensive and still unreliable 2 strokes... Im getting a Honda Cg125 after my cbt for a couple of monthes and then moving onto a Cbr125 or Yzf; they're good125's and if you're after speed then there's no point really; speed limit is 70 most places now and both Cbrs and Yzfs will do that. If you pass restricted acess you can ride up to 33bhp (Rs125 is 33bhp)
@Olinolan190 rs 125's come restricted meaning they are learner legal and 2 strokes are reliable it just depends on what way you ride it. i have had my rs for a year now and its never gave me any trouble i run good 2 stroke, warm it up well and rev the complete pish out of it ! the only thing ive had to do is change the plug and gearbox oil. id defiantly recommend 1 because once you pass your test and are looking for a bit of fun all you have to do is restricted it where as the the 4stroke well..
A lot of places i've been to look at bikes have said i cant do my cbt on an rs125 or ride one on a cbt.. Im sticking to a Honda Cg125 until i can afford a Yzf or Cbr 125. 2 stroke oil is pricey and they drink petrol apparently. Cbt limits me to 14 bhp, rs 125s are apparently 33 or 25bhp so meh... Maybe they lied to me
@Olinolan190 the cg is a great bike to do the cbt. its light and easy to ride i done mine on a cg125 tho i only got a lend of it off friend. now im on my rs 125. the bike is not hard to fuel if you drive it easy tho it can be expensive if you ride hard (70 - 100) mph or so.. however if you get a run on a crisp rs 125 with good tires on a twisty road u'll fall in love with it !

Jesus Christ who shoved the pole up your ass? And no not at all. You know there are many factors, many classes too. I would take the argument with you, but I won't for three reasons:
One, you seem like a troll just saying that to get attention.
Two, you seem like a 12 year old that thinks Yamaha is the best just because your dad owns one.
Im 6'2 and really want to start biking, however I am aware I would look like a muppet on a small 125, hell I would probably look a bit odd on a 1000cc engine!
@heald111111111111111 At 16 years old, after a CBT, you are limited to 50cc and 30mph maximum speed. At 17 you can pass your CBT, insure, fit L plates and ride any of these bikes shown, on the road. CBT entitles you to ride (At 17) a bike up to 125cc with a maximum power output of 15bhp. If you pass your full test on a 125cc bike at 17, you are limited to 33bhp for 2 years. Then unlimited. At 21, you can do a direct access course, pass your tests and then ride any power/capacity of bike.
@joshshoot If u fitted a big bore kit,32fcr carb, arrow exhaust and u never drop under 10000rpm maybe and if u have the older one( 2005>).But this test is wrong,u have to compare same things to see which is better. How u compare a 2stroke bike with 4stroke bikes?? Totally different, different power, different power band, different consumption etc etc. It is like testing rs250 nsr 250 and ninja 250...
@RadicakX performance is not everything... i agree that they are tottaly different build, but they stay in the same CC class, and the horsepower that come with that class, and this test is mostly about buying your first bike, and as a first bike its looks(your young, you wanna be cool right?) , handling(getting confident with bikes) and the efficiency(more mpg is cheaper, important.) of a bike are important when you get a new/first bike, i would definately go for the yamaha.
@joshshoot I didn't say that performance is everything,i always put safety first, next performance and last the look.Aprilia has better brakes, better susp,it's consumption is not really that high cause they make it to get euro 4-5, i don't remember exactly, approval.Look, for me,the right test is to compare only 2 stroke(aprilia rs 125,cagiva mito 125,rieju rs2 etc) and only 4 strokes(cbr 125,yamaha r125,yamaha xt125 etc).A mix of that is not accurate.
@RadicakX mmm i get what your saying, but they say 2 strokes break down all the time?, people have lots of trouble repairing their 2 stroke 125's every week, 4 stroke is way more reliable, but yeah it sacrifices speed, but it doesnt really matter for me if its a 2 stroke or 4 stroke, if its a bike with the same amount of CC's thats what matters to me, if you have 4 stroke i just see it as a + spec, and this test is most about your first starter bike, and its about a small, 125, and cool bike.
Are you serious. These bikes are aimed at people with a CBT. rs125 is nothing with a restrictor in. Go get it unrestricted, after, you have passed your mod1+2.
La migliore è a parer mio l'rs..2 tempi scattante e una velocità max elevata per un 125... poi beh secondo la scuola dei motociclisti la moto si sceglie perché lo si sente non perché è un 2 o 4 tempi.. no??:)
You should bring the CBR 150R And 125R models to america! They are both great starter bikes, and they are both considered mopeds here. Which means 15 and 16 year olds can ride a real sport bike that has real sport bike power, gears, and rpm, instead of some ugly CVT mopeds.
Copy and paste this comment to all Honda related videos. Originally started by Daschickenify
@christopher5444 Haha, lol. Thats maintenance on ALL two strokes. No joke read a manual of the aprilia RS125. They even say in it that prolonged use of high RPM treatment will greatly Reduce the life of the bike. Two-strokes require a top end rebuild after 16k use anyway. I could understand that yeah if you want a reliable bike then yeah four stroke. But they are just under powered as a 125. 16k miles is plenty and if you cannot afford to rebuild it after that then quite frankly don't own a bike
Pfft Contender! Yeah right. The only competition the Aprilia will have are the cagiva mitos. Two strokes are faster than four strokes. Fact. So how you can say that the cbr125 has 'Ruled' I don't know. In what aspect has it ruled? Fuel Economy. Good for the enviroment. Fair enough. But in relation to performance, speed and handling. Yeah right is it bush. RS will take em all on. If your guna test bikes, make sure that they are all the same aspiration.
I like it, too great. this is the dream of my 19 years. in Viet Nam, the price of this car is about 2500 usd, but I can not afford it .. I'll try to work hard. hopefully in 3 years I'll buy this car

@COD88MONEYMAN I think its more of a case of comparing the current 125cc market. Yes of course the aprilia will win hands down in terms of performance. I own one myself and love it. However the 4 strokes are a little more forgiving and from my experience the cbr 125 has a little more low end grunt than the aprilia.
Though for me 2-T wins everytime! Love the smell of 2T oil burning! haha
@UKFreedomFighters Its obvious that a 2stroke of the same capacity will dominate such a test, On the streets its all about the manufacturers specs, but on track it all depends on how you tune and set up the bike
I had a yamaha TZR 125cc. it took over from the yamaha RD 125. I rode that bike everywhere, everyday of the year for 9 months. it was a two stroke race bike. If 2 stroke are ran with fully synthetic 2-stroke oil... they will last forever, and also, it was the fastest 125cc on the road.
I have the CBR 125 and I am 6'2 tall (190cm). I do look kinda silly on the big as I am so tall, but you know what? I don't give a damn what people think! I love my bike <3
silly test, the bikes aren't meant to be the same full on racer. The Aprilia is a racer, the yamaha is a racer but for those who aren't as extreame or who can't afford the aprilia and the Honda is for those who are smarter with their money
@vrossino46 if you listen to what he says he says that the rs is better overall but for everyday use the yamy was better and i would agree having had an rs 125 they tend to be alot less reliable especialy in the colder months and can be alot more costly to fix but thats just my two cents!
The Cbr is an ok bike ... nothing special ... the Yamaha looks really amazing but the rs125 is by my choice the best even for its price its a lot of fun for under 18s who aren't allowed to have bigger cc and it can keep up with the kawasaki 250 pretty easily.... the engine does sound very high pitched but it's a lot better then the cagiva mito which sounds like a lawn mower :)
@MarshallATV oh boy... it's a 125cc and it doesn't want to be a bigger bike - the yzf r125 and the aprilia both look like they are powerrful 600cc bikes... btw. you get more than enough grip with those tires, but less rolling resistance (which is important with so little power!) so you can go faster, also the slim bodywork in general allows higher speeds! you really have to look at 50cc racebikes from the 60's - now these were really slim, but capable of up to around 110mph!!
Come one , dont be a smartass , i mean u rev it till u get 100-120 ... FGS ... u really are a little boy . To mentain a 120 km/h not more on a silly 125 RS u rev it like7-8k at least ... and its a 2stroke i know a pal that have to rebuilt the engine twice in a summer just cuz he loved to keep up and make journeies whit the guys whit big bikes ( over 4-600 ccm ) . Yeah im not the fan of 125 and nedeer the 250's but i am of the 500 ones but not GP , just Kawa EX 500 , others and the naked ones
Pacrat90 u gotta be kidding me ... 1200 pound ( 1600 Euros ) for a 125 ccm bike? u gotta be kidding me ... i can get a 400 ccm Suzuki Bandit after 1994-5 whit like 700-750 pounds ( 1000 ) Euros and u wanna pay more then double for a 125 ? even if its 4 stroke its wayyy more then it worth it. Bikes after u get it out of showroom there walue drop like a stone ... even its a 2006 one u dont pay more then 900 pound on it never ...
Angelus u speak like an underage , thats no reason to buy the aprilia . A real biker will choose a 4 or 600 ccm one and if wanna 125 never choose a 2 stroke one. When an older RS go by me and i was looking on the other side , i just felt like a chainsaw drove by me . You always choose a 4 stroke cuz if u wanna go on so long journeys its not gonna let u down , but if u rev an RS even to 100-120 its gonna brake down and that the last thing u want in a vacation whit your friends on bigger bikes

One, you seem like a troll just saying that to get attention.
Two, you seem like a 12 year old that thinks Yamaha is the best just because your dad owns one.
And three, you seem damn near illiterate.

Are these race machines? Or can I go on one after doing my CBT? ( I mean SHOULD I) or is it for more race enthusiasts?
heald111111111111111 6 months ago
@heald111111111111111
It tops out at 78mph. And it doesn't get there that quickly, either. Most people recommend the 250's for starters. You would be fine on this.
yodwinder 6 months ago
@heald111111111111111 At 16 years old, after a CBT, you are limited to 50cc and 30mph maximum speed. At 17 you can pass your CBT, insure, fit L plates and ride any of these bikes shown, on the road. CBT entitles you to ride (At 17) a bike up to 125cc with a maximum power output of 15bhp. If you pass your full test on a 125cc bike at 17, you are limited to 33bhp for 2 years. Then unlimited. At 21, you can do a direct access course, pass your tests and then ride any power/capacity of bike.

Either yamaha r125 and cbr125 try to reach the performance and handling of a rs125... They can keep on dreaming... ;)
RadicakX 7 months ago 17
@RadicakX but the yama runs 40 kilomter on 1 liter, and the aprillia has to stop every 500 meters.
joshshoot 7 months ago
@joshshoot If u fitted a big bore kit,32fcr carb, arrow exhaust and u never drop under 10000rpm maybe and if u have the older one( 2005>).But this test is wrong,u have to compare same things to see which is better. How u compare a 2stroke bike with 4stroke bikes?? Totally different, different power, different power band, different consumption etc etc. It is like testing rs250 nsr 250 and ninja 250...
RadicakX 7 months ago
@RadicakX performance is not everything... i agree that they are tottaly different build, but they stay in the same CC class, and the horsepower that come with that class, and this test is mostly about buying your first bike, and as a first bike its looks(your young, you wanna be cool right?) , handling(getting confident with bikes) and the efficiency(more mpg is cheaper, important.) of a bike are important when you get a new/first bike, i would definately go for the yamaha.
joshshoot 7 months ago
@joshshoot I didn't say that performance is everything,i always put safety first, next performance and last the look.Aprilia has better brakes, better susp,it's consumption is not really that high cause they make it to get euro 4-5, i don't remember exactly, approval.Look, for me,the right test is to compare only 2 stroke(aprilia rs 125,cagiva mito 125,rieju rs2 etc) and only 4 strokes(cbr 125,yamaha r125,yamaha xt125 etc).A mix of that is not accurate.
RadicakX 7 months ago
@RadicakX mmm i get what your saying, but they say 2 strokes break down all the time?, people have lots of trouble repairing their 2 stroke 125's every week, 4 stroke is way more reliable, but yeah it sacrifices speed, but it doesnt really matter for me if its a 2 stroke or 4 stroke, if its a bike with the same amount of CC's thats what matters to me, if you have 4 stroke i just see it as a + spec, and this test is most about your first starter bike, and its about a small, 125, and cool bike.
joshshoot 7 months ago
@RadicakX
Are you serious. These bikes are aimed at people with a CBT. rs125 is nothing with a restrictor in. Go get it unrestricted, after, you have passed your mod1+2.

Honda!
You should bring the CBR 150R And 125R models to america! They are both great starter bikes, and they are both considered mopeds here. Which means 15 and 16 year olds can ride a real sport bike that has real sport bike power, gears, and rpm, instead of some ugly CVT mopeds.

Caluma122 7 months ago
Pfft Contender! Yeah right. The only competition the Aprilia will have are the cagiva mitos. Two strokes are faster than four strokes. Fact. So how you can say that the cbr125 has 'Ruled' I don't know. In what aspect has it ruled? Fuel Economy. Good for the enviroment. Fair enough. But in relation to performance, speed and handling. Yeah right is it bush. RS will take em all on. If your guna test bikes, make sure that they are all the same aspiration.
Caluma122 7 months ago
@christopher5444 not with proper maintenance. look after your bike it'll look after you back. plus being a bit pedantic it a rebuild every 16,000

Who the hell would compare a 2 stroke with a 4 stroke? that was one LAME move MCN made!
COD88MONEYMAN 9 months ago
@COD88MONEYMAN I think its more of a case of comparing the current 125cc market. Yes of course the aprilia will win hands down in terms of performance. I own one myself and love it. However the 4 strokes are a little more forgiving and from my experience the cbr 125 has a little more low end grunt than the aprilia.
Though for me 2-T wins everytime! Love the smell of 2T oil burning! haha
UKFreedomFighters 9 months ago
@UKFreedomFighters Its obvious that a 2stroke of the same capacity will dominate such a test, On the streets its all about the manufacturers specs, but on track it all depends on how you tune and set up the bike
COD88MONEYMAN 9 months ago
I had a yamaha TZR 125cc. it took over from the yamaha RD 125. I rode that bike everywhere, everyday of the year for 9 months. it was a two stroke race bike. If 2 stroke are ran with fully synthetic 2-stroke oil... they will last forever, and also, it was the fastest 125cc on the road.

silly test, the bikes aren't meant to be the same full on racer.

The Honda is so god damn ugly! Way too slim! Are those wheelbarrel tires?!
MarshallATV 1 year ago
@MarshallATV oh boy... it's a 125cc and it doesn't want to be a bigger bike - the yzf r125 and the aprilia both look like they are powerrful 600cc bikes... btw. you get more than enough grip with those tires, but less rolling resistance (which is important with so little power!) so you can go faster, also the slim bodywork in general allows higher speeds! you really have to look at 50cc racebikes from the 60's - now these were really slim, but capable of up to around 110mph!!
purpleGoAhead 1 year ago
@purpleGoAhead I didn't say the tires had bad grip or that the bike wasn't quick... But it does look ugly!

Bikes after u get it out of showroom there walue drop like a stone ... even its a 2006 one u dont pay more then 900 pound on it never ...
motanelustelistu 1 year ago
Angelus u speak like an underage , thats no reason to buy the aprilia . A real biker will choose a 4 or 600 ccm one and if wanna 125 never choose a 2 stroke one. When an older RS go by me and i was looking on the other side , i just felt like a chainsaw drove by me . You always choose a 4 stroke cuz if u wanna go on so long journeys its not gonna let u down , but if u rev an RS even to 100-120 its gonna brake down and that the last thing u want in a vacation whit your friends on bigger bikes
motanelustelistu 1 year ago
@motanelustelistu Buy a 6?A real biker? No,that's what poser fools do!
And rev to 100-120?You don't rev it to a certain speed, but to a certain RPM.
