Goku was holding back against Frezia for the majoirty of the fight because Gohan, Piccolo and Bulma were still on Namek. Goku's full power was 150 Million and Frezia max was 120 Million. Frezia was never a match for Goku after he ascended to Super Sayian.

Couldn't Goku have escaped Namek sooner if he killed Frieza from the start? Why would he hold back, stalling is one thing but when you have the advantage and the planet your on is going to explode he should have got it done quickly

@PsychoNinjaPirate He wasn't holding back.Goku was fighting hard up until the very end.Frieza's full power was too much for his body and his power was dropping like a rock to the point where he wasn't even a challenge to Goku.

@PsychoNinjaPirate Goku said he wanted to fight Freiza at his best. Goku was holding back because he did'nt want to harm Bulma, piccolo or Gohan and he also wanted to test Freiza's full potential. Freiza could'nt beat Goku after he reached SSJ and he knew this which is why he tried to destroy the planet. After this failed Freiza decided to use his maximum power to try and stall Goku.

@NANOFORGE LOL no they both lost Fireza could not beat goku on the terms of fighting but if you forgot they where fighting on a planet that was about to explode and goku cant breath in space if fireza was smart and just held out for a few seconds which seems to be 3 hours in DBZ time he would have won.

This movie was suppost to be set just after Goku defeated Frezia so he should of been able to go SSJ at will, this movies showed that he could'nt, he needed an ass kicking to get the motivation.
