1: he had a good laning with good farm and enough kills to effort big items fast and also being the only ranged carry in the team

2: they had no setup spell/ultimate for sf so the big advantage of lothars or dagger simply isnt that great when u have the choice to go instant physical dps...

One of the reasons why EHOME lost the Dota2 Championships was because, they never learned to ban Chen from Dendi. But I've got nothing to hate to Na'Vi. This was a good sf from PIS. And to those noobs who ask where is the dagger bla bla, he doesnt need one. Play according to the situation and the heroes around you, dont stick to your basic guides for everything.

Yaphet didn't have a blink dagger because in a pro game with his team he won't need to initiate as SF. One of his ally will initiate with a stun (lion) and he'll come walking with his razes. What's more, he needed bkb fast against storm spirit or else he'll be disabled at the start of each fight and then killed. If storm spirit succeed in disabling him, he'll get a boat and a torrent on him for sure.

I play SS alot in HON "and used too in dota" and i might can explain to you why did he actually went Avatar > Illusion > butter , First of all if there's andro against you inteam and he's good player/support, u`ll know he wll focus stuns,swap on you, so ur chances to land ult's are less than expected, and illusion to remove hellflower if he gets engaged on from the panada (DR in HON), and butterfly last item choice was to stand 1v1 against kunkka and hit or even 1v2 / with the revive item :)

@13usaGsx1300 Yes, I remember a walkthrough he made of his own SF-game a while back. Dagger isn't always needed, with the right setup of allies(stun, banish. slow in this game). So the disables make up for a dagger, meaning he can focus on those high-tier damage-items early(manta,butter). Gotta admire PIS for his playstyle and understanding of the game! Cheers

Dagger is only good for pubs if you're farming well, and doing extremely well. If you watch PIS's actual SF videos, here:

@jasonhan8733 Yaphets sf has 3 main different playing styles . 1 is the flashy kind of blink + bkb + ulti , that is what most sf player does,copied from the legendary SK.Loda sf . The other 1 is the support aoe sf,where he could ulti from far/near,and blink dagger is optional as he is nt the main carry . This is his main carry, look at his items . He doesn't need to deal maximum damage with his ulti,just enuf to help him snag the kill.and he trusts his clanmates.different style from pub.

if someone is wondering about the fact,that he had no dgger or lothar:YaphetS is playing a modern style of sf, were he dont focus on team-clashes.he play him as a hardcarry.Also, the support and the stun/slow from the team is so good,that he is even without lothar/dagger able to initiate with a good ulti (or optionally end a clash).
