Graw2 PhysX PPU

i hardly see the difference PhysX makes on this game. When enabled on my nVidia control panel, it makes the game unplayably choppy. So i turn it off and voila, runs like a charm and honestly don't see the difference.

Can't help you as i don't have a Nvidia card, about the PhysX effects in this game, they are very noticeable if you can't see a difference them the PhysX effects aren't working properly. Can you play the PhysX island map?

I am able to play, but the game is nearly unplayable with nVidia's GPU PhysX enabled. This is an issue a lot of people ran into with nVidia cards and GRAW 2's PhysX function. The only resolution is to disable PhysX altogether. I have a GTS 250 which is more than capable for this game.

Yes PhysX on this game was made for the Ageia PPU and not GPU's so i think thats is the problem, afaik nvidia nor the developer bother to update the game. Even i, can't play this game with PhysX as i don't have my PPU anymore. :(

To tell you the truth i don't know i don't have a Nvidia card and i only used a Ageia PPU.

Yes PhysX is now from Nvidia but when i made this video i was using a AGEIA PPU and a ATI card, if you play this game you will see that PhysX only works with a AGEIA PPU even if you have a CUDA nvidia GPU. Never knew why nvidia never supported PhysX on this game.

Fraps hates physX based games, people who view this should understand that before commenting on the frame rate and pauses.

I don't use it in any of my PPU videos because of this, though finding a decent alternative is difficult.

Thanks AnnoyedDragon for the reply you are right about fraps but this video, was made on my old PC that had problems so that was also making the game slow, after a bought my new mobo my videos became much more fast as you can see on my warmonger video.

Really? then show me game with Havok physics and that has Liquid physics, destructible cloth, soft metal, soft body's trees, force fields (wind, tornadoes). I think this is sufficient.

And before you say Crysis isn't using Havok physics.

Many peaple disagree with you including me, the physics with the PPU are the best game physics in the world and the graphics even if not like the consoles are good for what they were meant to do.

Graw 2 has a way better gameplay than crysis, the effects and all that is good at crysis, but how many "real" missions is it on crysis?

Only thing u do on crysis is killi'n peoples and explode a tank or a machine or something like that.

I for one enjoy the gameplay in Crysis. I do however enjoy the gameplay in hl2 much more. I just started HL2 EP2 and it is so good.

physx is far from obsolete. If implemented correctly it could be amazing. I really hope the new cellfactor game turns out well. I just want good water physics in games. That is an unrealistic request as of now but in a few years gpu's will be powerfull enough to calculate large bodies of water.

u can use it with sli its just a matter a fact if the mother board will do it. (im using sli and physx card all together.

This only on the demo as i don´t have the full game, but on the full game you will have a PPU only mission with Totally destructible environment and other physics effects.

Graw2 with a PPU don´t have only this effects it as more i just didn´t show them, i will try to say them here.

- wind effecting the environment like leafs, trees, vegetation, they are also effected by explosions blast; the truck have real cloth that can be ripped; cover webs behave like cloth be ripped and effected by explosions, fences are destructible and in small peaces, etc.

The slow frame rate is cause by fraps (the capturing software), in normal play it is more faster, so judge the video for the effects and not for the FPS's.

Did you lower the resolution if you were making this entirely for youtube? Cuz it could help that choppy framerate.
