Ronnie at his absolute best! "McGrath looked up and he wagged his old tail." "Long live the Republic says Master McGrath." Lyrics straights from Ronnie's heart.

  • this song has everything a irish song needs DRINKABILITY ha ha love it RIP Ronnie

  • nothing better than rapist dogs

  • lol.. Master McGrath jumped on the hare, not "white rose" the English dog! lol :)

  • dont take it so serious sherlock, i actually heard a rumour that neither dog had the conversations that are described in the song , crack that case ,

  • then don't type stupid comments and expect no one to try to harmlessly correct you incase you misunderstood, watson

  • stupid comments? you're the one who thinks a talking dog jumped onto a hare and won a race, stop getting carried away and back off on the roids , WOOF WOOF.

  • wow, you're a twat.. and you see, the race, was a hare chase... so err.. yeah actually the idea was that Master McGrath killed the hare before "white rose" could... and i never said they actually spoke, they just didn't actually rape the other one..

the stupidity of people like Dubbigot never ceases to amaze me

  • Sadly Ronnie died last Saturday... Another great Irish singer gone...

This song was actually my very first encounter withy Ronnie and The Dubliners and it got me hooked straight away.

  • @rudedanny ..mine too i lso remember as a kid that they used tio have master mcgrath dog food!!!

  • @spiritof1979

It brought to life my Irish heritage... I never realized it then but even after 6 generations of forefathers having lived outside Ireland I still have the wee bit of Irshness in my blood...

  • @rudedanny The Irish are an ethnic group, not nationality.. Dont ever let any of these YT trolls tell you your not Irish because u weren't born in Ireland.

  • @borledx ethnic groups and nationalities are weak Criteria to sort people into cathegories...

  • @LutzDerLurch Maybe if your German they are, but not if your Irish. I understand that germany has lost a lot of its nationalism because of the world wars & nationalism can be blamed for a lot of that. But i can assure its alive & kicking in Ireland & among our huge diaspora.

  • @rudedanny I've had the same experience. Ronnies song that got me hooked to The Dubliners was "Hey Johnny Mcgorry". Enjoyed listening to The Dubliners ever since. My favourite song being "Johnsons Motorcar". The world lost a great artist in Ronnie.

  • @rudedanny What a Pitty :(

  • rocket ronnie give it to em bhoy..........
