A. Sonic doesn't have a car...yes he had a car racing game but he's not known for racing games.

B. The "punchline" makes no sense, Sonic isn't loony tunes, that kind of humor does not fit the theme. That joke would make sense if it were the roadrunner...but then again he doesn't have a car either.
