@iCraveSims3 You don't either have the right Expansion Packs, or Stuff Packs. If you download them onto your game, they should be replaced with Proxies, (or so it says in my game when that happens)

Nevermind I figured it out. SO HAPPY NOW JEEZ!

It took me awhile but for anyone having issues with saving "videocamera" try right clicking on the file and go to properties, then go to security settings and try figeting around with the permissions that allow you to write in the document. Then set it onto the user that allows you to write and edit it. Hope I helped whoever needed it!

"VideoCamera" saving issues. I'm pressing save and it's not saving. It keeps saying access denied and That I'm not the administrator when I clearly am. (Checked my control panel and everything.)

I have a 4 story living room. And the normal camera shows only all stories when on the top floor. When on the first floor, it only shows the first floor. When in free camera mode, does it show all the floors then in my living room?

If someone know the answer to this, i be very happy.

@msp201985 Hey! I'd be happy to answer!

If you have all of the floors showing when you look at the exterior, including the roof, and you then go into free camera, it should work. Just adjust the camera height and your position using the keys given in the video to put yourself in a somewhat first person view inside your house.

hi when I edited the ini videocamera file and changed the lerp duration to 20.0 and saved it correctly. the speed didnt change in game when I used the saved shots :( pleaase help Ive been searching for an answer and nobody replies to me :(

@FluffyMonsterr i think u cant find that out until u start editing it. thats what happened to me. i saved it, it doesnt work that way, but once i opened up my movie maker, the screen shots were pretty smooth. if this does work, change your duration?

How do you get it to follow your sim? I bought the game a while ago and if I pressed the picture, a little orange circle would appear on the picture and I would follow my s im. Now, for some reason, when I click the picture, all it does is go to my sim. So if I want to watch my sim move from place to place, I have to continuously click on the picture. Any ideas on what I should do?

In Windows Vista it's not that easy anymore to change Ini files. You need to find a way to give yourself 'permission' to change and save files. Even when you are considered as an Administrator.

I used to make machinimas all the time until I got switched onto the mac and my mom was given my hp. Sims 3 won't to install on mine, so I came to my moms computer to make one. But the VideoCamera.ini doesn't seem to change anything when recording. I take it onto the desktop and changed the lurp duration from 2.0 to 20.0 and moved it back successfully, but whenever I switch between 2 shots in camera view, it still takes 2 seconds. I restart the game and stuff, too. Help :(

@MegaBabe568 Open your cheat window (ctrl+shift+c) then type in testingcheatsenabled true and then hideheadlineeffects on. After that, everything above your sims heads will disappear including the plumbob, those little thought/talk bubbles with pictures and that bar that shows up when they are improving a skill.

Everyone! move the VideoCamera File Onto ur DESKTOP. THEN EDIT AND SAVE! and then when u saved and you are finished, put it back into the Ini Folder! IT WORKS.

You don't need to change anything.

EVERYONE. For the ctrl+5..

You actually hold down ctrl, the + key (Or = same thing) then 5.

Then you move to a different camera spot, press 5 then it should snap back to that spot. Remember to be in Camera mode.
