  • mount that C-loop to the lens not the body. to much stress on the lens mount

  • Damn thats a big ass lens.

  • @Rick1885 and damn expensive -__-

blah haha I want one though

  • Did you just pen marker out the canon logo? Looks awesome! I want to do it! how!

  • My apologies, I hadn't finished watching the video where you were stating that.

    My Bad!

    =)

  • Personally, I WOULD and would think that you'd mount your C loop strap onto the Tripod mount of the Lens itself to help prevent any chances of your mount on the 1d body. Yeah, it's a pro built DSLR but the mount can break just as easily. I personally have experience where I've dropped my 500 F4L $8000 lens and broke off my mount. Not a good experience, but it was a great chance to learn a thing or to. but again, that's just me. If you're confident that it wont break that's up to you. =D Cheers!

  • Hi, aren't you supposed to attach it to the lens instead to the body? Is that 300 an IS model?

  • how is this system better than the Black Rapid RS7? I own the RS7 and one of the key reasons I bought it is so that when I pull the camera up from the side of my body to take a picture, the strap won't drag whatever I'm wearing with it. I do like the aluminum mount though

  • @watduzhkstand4 - the C-Loop is made to work with existing straps as well as the Custom SLR Glide Strap. The C-Loop has a larger gripping surface to the camera for a more secure fit and the swiveling mechanism is within the unit so it requires less hardware and is more comfortable to hold in portrait mode and smoother when using as a swiveling point for video. Moreover, all Custom SLR straps feature our Split Strap Technology for reduced fatigue and increased comfort.

  • @customslr thanks for the quick response! I'm gonna check out your other videos on the site. I'm quite interested

  • This is cool but around 45 dollars shipped is crazy expensive. This thing should be 25 bucks max.

  • @silverrush540 The C-Loop is machined from aerospace grade aluminum in San Jose, CA USA. Our customers have been very happy with the quality and functionality. Feel free to message us if you have any questions.

  • @customslr When I go to your site and add it to the cart it ends up being 46.90 with shipping...I'm sure it's a great product but it's still just a piece of aluminum and that price is just outrageous. If the price was more reasonable I think you would have a lot more happy customers.

  • @madrummerboi - it was covered with some black tape to make it more discreet.

  • @customslr Well, IMO, it would make it more eye-catchy coz you can't see the logo and people would wonder if that was a new Canon EOS 1D Mark V or some other new model.

  • @zrsgamboa - added model name to the video title. It's a Mark IIn :)

  • why do you cover the "canon" label on the 1D?

  • Looks good. Question for you...unlrelated t the C-Loop. Can you please give some details on the lens cover you've got on the 300 2.8? Thanks!

  • @daddiophoto

The lens cover is an AquaTech Soft Cap. It's made of a pliable silicone material which creates a really nice seal -can hear air being forced out- when put on. Taking off the cap is a breeze with the recessed finger holds. What can't be seen in the video is that the cap is actually 0.780" thick and has a bit of heft which makes it feel nice. When flush on, it sits on a flange that is about 0.5" from the glass itself. Been really pleased with it overall. Hope this helps!
