How do I convert WinRAR archive files to WinRAR ZIP archive files? All of the roms I've downloaded so far have been unpacked and all, but this one is zipped. I've tried several times to extract the files via WinRAR and it seems successful until I try to open the files in the project64 emulator..

A: its not that complex download a emulatere (preferably pj 64) and download a rom and open it useing the emulater

For the most part, yes. Though if you're playing a Gamecube version of a game (Ocarina of Time 1.2 for example) then you would need the retail copy of that game to legally be able to play it on an emulator.

Hey man, ive got a softmodded original xbox thats running the "unleash x" software. it already has a sega emulator and sega roms on it that are playable. but i want to get a nintendo 64 emulator on it with some games, at least the ocarina of time and majoras mask. it was given to me when it was already modded so i didnt do any of the work to get the sega on there. any idea how i would get a 64 emulator onto it?ive looked at forums and stuff, but its all mumbo jumbo to me.

Theres probably a program for that. Though I don't know one in particular. You're suppose to be using an actual controller though. That's how the game was designed. It wouldn't work properly even if you found a way to use the mouse.

It is safe. They go a little crazy with the advertising because they know people will stand it just for their amazing library. Keep your pop up blocker on and I would suggest Adblock plus if you have Firefox. Coolroms is okay but their library is lacking compared to Emuparadise.

I use a N64 usb adapter for my N64 controller. All the buttons work, but the analog stick move WAY too slowly, even when i put the stick all the way forward or in any direction, it still moves too slowly. I tried several controllers and the only whay i could actually run is if i set the analog controls to the D-pad! (the dark grey plus buttons on the left side of the controller, almost like the SNES controls)

Any way i can fix this?

Well make sure that in the controller options under the analog stick settings that the range is set to 100%. Also make sure to configure your controller on your computer before playing. If neither works then you may have a faulty usb adapter and should return it from where you got it from.

No, map out the controls how you want on the keyboard. If you press random buttons you won't be able to play the game. Make the controls on the keyboard as easy and memorable as possible, otherwise playing is a pain.

That's odd. Did you reboot your computer before reinstalling it? It's important that you remove all traces of project 64 before reinstalling or the problem will persist.

It just means Vista could not find a publisher for the program. If you have your doubts, just go to google and type in project 64. That will get you to their main site.

You want to run the program if you want it to install project64 though.

Not much, except for where the data originated. ISOs are data copied from a disk and ROMs are simply data copied from a cartridge.

once you install winrar you should be able to right click on the file itself and say extract with winrar without opening the program itself and dragging.

Fraps is what you're looking for. The program (camtasia) I used in the video is strongly unrecommended, it's just really laggy when recording games.

Find the .exe file and open it. You might have left a shortcut somewhere I suppose, right? Project 64 by default is supposed to install in your program files so I'd start there.

Changing plugins wont really solve any major lag. You don't have a lot of things running in the background do you? Restarting your computer may help. Otherwise it may just be poor specs on your computer.
