  • fuck you all, he's black. that's why he one.

  • @TheShiizzz that's why he one? lol Nice grammar. And everyone else in that race was black... why didn't They win?

  • Un.Be.Lieve.Able speed

  • This clip goes very well with Right here right now

  • i dont get how the foot drag at the start could have any effect at all on their performance.

  • @junmun123

The theory says that any tenth of a second more in the start will end up multiplied by 5 in your finish time. So if you can save time by keeping you foot close to the ground, and by doing so not having to spend extra time moving your leg up and down to push the ground, is just doing the math.

  • hes still fast in slow mo

  • yes, the "foot drag" technique is real. the objective is not to scrape your foot along the ground out of the blocks but to minimize the distance your foot has to travel by keeping it as close to the ground as possible. sometimes accidental scrapes occur, like in this race. obviously, since he still ran 9.58, the accidental scrape didn't have a huge negative effect on his time

  • I'm more of a hand to mouth guy.

  • i bet you've never ran track in your life, you're full of shit

  • @broadcastyoself72 The toe drag actually is intentional. Bolt and Asafa do it every race.

  • stop bullshiting coaches dont teach the foot drag fake ass liar

  • @broadcastyoself72

You are starting to annoy me. Maybe the coaches you know don't teach that, but that is your own problem.

It's name "foot drag technique" doesn't is intended to each you how to do it. Obviously the objective is not to drag the foot but to keep as close to the ground as possible, which sometimes (and as I refer before) "we tend to broke our training spikes quicker" because the foot touches the track.

Finally you just lost your bet, in watch?v=EcFBwC_zSK8 you can see me at 0:45.

  • @molinobeer well said

  • @molinobeer Coaches have now started actually teaching the toe drag from seeing bolt do it!

  • @broadcastyoself72 very few do because very few know about it. who knows if it actually helps tho. watch asafas slo mo start too

  • i noticed the 'im bolt and i fuck everyone up when it comes to sprinting' technique, i hear he's been training hard to achieve it.

  • I dont think anyone hear has noticed the "swing the air behind you technique Gay uses" Its quite unique and rare to see. Thumbs up if you noticed it.

  • tyson ahs some serious stride frequency more than bolt and asafa

  • he uses a "heel-to-buttocks" technique

  • i love the end :] pat pat on chest xD

  • The last part was a bit funny

  • only his toes are touching the ground

  • I really think it's down to how long his limbs are, in terms of stride frequency Tyson Gay in his video matches bolt stride for stride, but Bolt covers a lot more ground with each stride due to his length.

  • damnnn wish i could run that fast :P

  • run nigga! run!

  • ahaha louis u makee me creaseeeeee

  • bang!! bang!! bolt no1 fukking wid him get me?!

  • I love the little step and foot drag at the beggining. I think its because he has such long legs that with a slightly smaller step, he can blast out of the blocks better.

  • along with the foot drag you can see that usain also uses his whole foot when he runs he has awesome dorsilflex in his right leg almost like hes running with heel to toe strike...very relaxed

  • Foot drag - nice thing you pointed that out. Seems to be a good technique definitely.

  • Look at the detail, Bolt drag his foot at the first step out of the blocks.

"The Foot Drag" is a technique that some coaches teach...it helps to keep the rare leg straight coming out of the blocks and it allows for ful extention on your first step going into your drive phase.

The only problem is that when we do it in practice we tend to broke our training spikes quicker. BUT is that even a problem for the super sponsored Usain Bolt?? Hahaha.. don't think so..

    Nice trainings to everyone!

  • sorry, with rare I mean rear leg...

  • @molinobeer stop bullshittin, the toe drag isn't a sprinting technique dumbass. he did that on accident

  • @broadcastyoself72

    Stop being an idiot.

  • @broadcastyoself72 if you notice asafa powell did this on a commercial so they do it on purpose

  • @molinobeer i was wondering about that. i just thought his legs were too long or somethin.. good to know

  • Thanks! Lol - his sticker blew off at the start!
