When Madara was still alive his body became really ugly and old. He wanted a body so he used a jutsu. Madara's dead body is still somewhere, but Madara is still there in that body that you're still seeing in those episodes. He took the body of Tobito! He took his body because it had sharingan. I mean, think about it! Tobito lost his LEFT eye and Madara is wearing a mask with just 1 opening on the LEFT! And you're always seeing that sharingan. Well, Tobito had his sharingan there TOO!!

Ya know how madara was in controll of the fourth mizukage and made kisame kill his team members i have a feeling madara was controlling the elders/hokage of konoha to make itachi kill the uchiha clan. so THAT is why i believe itachi placed the magekyou in sasuke to use amataratsu on madara cuz what he told sasuke was a bunch of bullshit and now since he has his ems sasuke is nothing but a pawn

actually, itatchi died. itatchi gave his eye technechs to sasuke right before he died. if itatchi thought he would survive, he probably kept his eye technechs. so itatchi is really a good guy. he tried to protect sasuke. unfortunately, tobi/madara found a way to survive amateratsu. so that's all i know for now
