    Sir Geoffrey de Havilland was no more French than I am, he was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

    The prototype (W4050) was fitted with twin Merlin 77's and the most produced Mosquito the FB Mk VI used twin Merlin Mk 23 or Mk 25 engines.

    The stories, and the way they described the faces of the Germans, after they saw what had just shot them down!!

    That and the night fighting / crashing that this plane safely brought them home from!!
