Bloody Nora! TV networks won't go anywhere near this show these days. That's a shame because it's a brilliant and bitingly accurate insight into race relations in Britain during the seventies. I'm black and I grew up during those times and this show is right on the mark. Perhaps a bit too on the mark for some people.

17 million viewers watch this every week, because it was enjoyed by all nationalities. When we were allowed to have a sense of humour. Unfortunately, the tv companies will not let anyome have a sense of houmour, these days. Although the BBC appear to have double standards when they show unfunny programmes like Little Britain (which is actually a load of trash, anyway)! ITV have followed the BBC and also disallow comedy.
