@ 4:07 NO TV, NO RADIO, NO TELEPHONE. By today's standards, that line would be NO CELL PHONES, NO COMPUTERS, NO FACEBOOK, NO iPODS lol. Classic song. These guys have it goin on!
Why doesn't anybody ever talk about Neal on the the ivories? I play piano and I KNOW how hard it is to pound those keys while never missing a note. He's the reason I started listening to REO way back when. That performance takes practice, talent and endurance. Every single member of that band meshed together to create a wonderful musical experience, and I love 'em all.
NOBODY can play like Gary does!! I saw them last week and they were FANTASTIC, BUT Dave wasn't nearly the guitarist Gary was!!! He was a great cover guitarist but not the real thing!! Brian rocked it on drums though!!
gary was the the man in reo got to see them live in 81. the chemistry between those 2 was unreal, just noway todescribe the energy that was pulsating from the stage reminded me of grandfunk back in 71 in greenville, s.c. waited a long time for someone to post a performance like this. thanks
Great version, jammier than I would have thought for '85! You Get What You Play For pretty much was the soundtrack of my life at one point. Plus, those double albums came in handy back in the day ;)
This is by far one of the best REO posts on all of You Tube. Thank you “mattervalley”!! I've never seen this concert footage until now. Unfortunately we’ll never get to see the chemistry between Kevin and Gary live again. This footage really captures REO at their best. I just saw REO here in Anderson, IN recently and while Dave Amato is a great guitarist and fits in great with the band, it still feels like something’s missing when you see the band without Gary Richrath.
saw REO several times but would have loved to have been at this concert

Got introduced to Reo Speedwagon back when the Hi Infidelity tour was taken place.
And was litteraly blown out of my seat by Gary Richraths guitar playing, he deffinatly has the
Reo sound and its sadly missed today in the band.

Great video. Gary was the one of the greatest guitarist of all time. Saw them at UF in 1973. Fabulous show.
