I would like to share a story about cool hoggy !!! India vs Australia[2004]match.. Brad Hogg took Sachin's wicket. At the end of the match Hogg gave that ball to Sachin for his autograph. Sachin put his sign with one beautiful sentence, "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN" Till today Hogg could not take his wicket for the second time. After this incident Hogg and Tendulkar came face to face 21 times..but he could never get d MasterBlaster out Hogg must be missing that ...
i wish hoggy was a youngster just starting off. just happened to be in the wrong era, as he had warney and mcgill as well to compete against. Beau casson bowls rubbish
The perfect all-round Cricketer, he could bowl, field and he was an awesome hitter as well. I remember in the second ever 20-20 match at the WACA he smashed a flat six over cow corner breaking the Cranium of the bloke in front of me. I saw him at my local Chicken Treat once and form then on it was instant love, a decent bloke, which caused me do much grief to see him be constantly underrated.
Also, Hoggy battled in two World Cup, campaigns, both of which, he won, and in fact did not lose a game. He was vital in the middle orders of matches constantly taking the vital wickets, and partnership breakers, at the vital time.
I have to say Western Australian, and Australian, summers will no longer be the same without the presence of the most recognisable tongue in the world.
what a wanker... not a bad spinner but certainly not into sportsmanship!
