Rest in peace, Frank. Your service will be remembered, and your fight for a national WWI memorial will be carried on in the hearts of patriots across this great nation.
As a member of JROTC, I personally see Mr. Buckles as one of my heroes. Thank you for your service, Corporal Buckles. We were the same rank when I wrote to you, but have since been promoted.
Amazing that there were no comments on this true American hero. Mr. Buckles, as a proud American and retired U.S. Air Force member, I salute and thank you sir for serving our nation in both world wars. Please join Mr. Buckles in supporting the WW I memorial in DC.
@jmf257 im sorry, but thats inaccurate. he wasnt in the air force, he was and ambulance driver. and he didn't serve in both world wars, he was imprisoned during ww2
Rest in Internal Peace. You shall be remembered forever more. I salute you sir.

Rest in peace, Mr. Buckles. I can't believe that we don't have a WWI memorial.
