MD-12 program was legit, and it was in the late 80's when McDonnell Douglas wanted to create "Largest Passenger Plane" and kick Boeing 747 throne, but because MD got a financial crisis in early 90's, they bought by Boeing and plan for MD-12 was cancelled, we all know 15 years later, Airbus come with their A380
Nice job on this one. Makes you wonder why Airbus went ahead and designed the A380 to be incredibly ugly after MDC had already planned a similar plane that looked totally cool.
that is only a slightly modified a380. whoever developed that plane for the sim took an a380 and VERY slightly modified it. if you look at the aircraft plans, it is a lot different than that
The MD-12 was designed for just only 511 pax. The study was taken in the 90th, while the A380 is much bigger and the development already has begun in the 80th.
@DeltaEagle7700 I don't think so. As I said, the A380 was developed sooner and the MD-12 would have been a smaller plane, and so no direct competitor.
