Why is it I use the arrow keys to highlight things and then after I highlight them in the favorites section and press 1-7 it won't assign a thing?? This is frustrating...
On Xbox360, PS3, and on the PC using an Xbox360 controller, to assign an object to either the left or right dpad hotkey. First enter the main inventory and make the object a favourite. Then return to the game, open the favourite menu, and with the object highlighted, press and hold the left or right dpad hotkey until a small 1 or 2 appears next to the selected item.
Really sucks you can't do this on Xbox, you'd think you could be able to hold down something like Up D-Pad and then be able to use X, Y, B or A for presets.
man hotkeying is that simple, wish i would have known that a long time ago, going back into favs menu is a pain when your getting the crap kicked out of you by trolls, dauger, dragons... etc
i have died countless times because i didn't know you could hotkey anything.
Hotkeying on 360 is shit. Oblivions mini spell menu was waaay better. For instance, you apply spells to the left and right triggers...open fav menu and apply the 1 and 2 to different spells. Now, you can switch to the 1 and 2 spells without issue, but you cant switch back to the original L T and RT spells without opening the menu and re-applying them....its absolute shit and a game breaking mechanic imo.
How do you hot key on Xbox? Man, I wish I got it for PC but mine is a piece of shit and cant even run Minecraft on tiny. Im gonna go to school, can I please get a response back.
@CryPlayable@ImRealityyy You can hotkey by pressing up to access your favorites and then go to your item and hold either the left or right button. You can have 2
@CryPlayable On Xbox360 and PS3, to assign an object to either the left or right dpad hotkey. First enter the main inventory and make the object a favourite. Then return to the game, open the favourite menu, and with the object highlighted, click and hold the left or right dpad hotkey.
@NickDufe thats garbage, its complete ass considering how many hotkeys we got in Oblivion........... I would rather have 8 hotkeys as in Oblivion then that quick menu in skyrim. I hate stopping play to change weapons, the 2 hotkey is garbage, i cant use bow, sword, shield and a few spells in combat without stopping it for the quick menu...... what were they thinking.
@ImRealityyy yeah @CryPlayable is wrong. go to your favorites and hold either left or right on the D pad while highlighting what you want and it will hotkey. you can only hotkey 2 things at once though
how do you hotkey dual weapons though. like if i hotkey a mace at 1 and a sword at 2 and press 1 then 2, i just equip my mace and then my mace is replaced by sword. i want my mace to be in one hand and my sword to be in the other when i press the corresponding hotkey. so is there a way to hotkey a number to a specific hand as in hotkey 1 to left hand and hotkey 2 to right hand, would really appreciate an answer. i've been looking everywhere for one. practically the same problem as "IcoKirov"
using dual wielding axe/sword. want to switch to spell in the left had. so my axe is let say 1, sword is 2, the spell is 3. so im using axe/sword. press 3 then the left hand switch from sword to the spell. now i use axe/spell. if i want to return to axe/sword i should press 2, right? but when i press it, the sword switches with the axe, not the spell, so i start using sword/spell... how can i hotkey the item to go to the left hand always?
Guys Just Press Up On The D-pad -.-

@FUCKINGGAYSYSTEM The numbers correlate to the numbers on the keyboard. L = left hand R = right hand
CryPlayable 4 months ago
@FUCKINGGAYSYSTEM I believe L stands for Left hand, and R for Right hand. LR will then be both hands.. might be wrong, tho.
