No, the Switch turns the white and green wires to the xBox USB Port or to the Computer USB Port, because if you not switched off the Computer USB Port while you connected the Kincet to your XBox, the not disconnected Computer USB port worked like an antenna and produce a noise signal on the green and white wires!

got a question. you state the +D and the -D had to be swithced between the USB adapters because the Kinect didnt work, now, do you mean this by adding a switch to turn it off, or reverse the Green and White wires to Green to White, and White to Green?there is also a silver braided wire whraped around all the rest of the wires as the 5th wire in the USB cable, not the Kinect cable, is that needed? its not shown on the pic in your vid.
