  • Nice =)

I'm learning this song for a college audition :D

Thought I would check out the Male versions to get another go at it, heh.

    You sing very well!

  • So much more developed than the Lotti. Gorgeous tone. I would suggest calming the hand/arm gestures though. Your voice speaks much more than your hands could ever do, and it does! A performance should look natural, singers sometimes do gestures sub-consciously out of technical insecurity (I occasionally raise my left shoulder). Re vibrato, observe some 'messa di voce' exercises and you could turn some of your harsher resonances into a softer 'hooting' sound, which would be lovely for this piece!

  • Deff Get some more support to work on ur vibrato

  • i absolutely loved this. I have to sing this song for my college audition. one of two songs. Sebben Crudele is my other song that I have to sing. I hope I can do just as well as you did! Great job :)

  • You have a nice voice but you should probably stop moving your arms, it's very distracting to watch.

  • This is great! I'm planning on singing this forcollege scholarship auditions,so I've been searching for a ton of recordings, and I must say, yours is my favorite! :)

  • Really good performance and you get extra points for the way this is shot. ;) The only thing I'd suggest (since you're still young) is to try and let your vibrato come out more freely. I imagine it's only because of nervousness that it isn't happening naturally. I don't think you should change the hand movements - we are human beings not statues. ;)

  • This is so well done. Are you on iTunes? I'm doing this song an octave up with my voice teacher. My ONLY criticisms are a weak beginning and a foul note on the 'thorn' in hawthorn. Seriously, if you're on iTunes, please let me know. I've been looking for this song and you do it the best.

  • @tcatmaher surely not better than sir thomas allen?

  • @BluesGee I personally think this is better because his voice is more suited to the piece. But it is hard to make a concrete comparison because one goes exactly by the composer's directions, and one adds his down artistic impressions, which by nature changes the piece.

  • very beautiful, thanks for posting this!

  • Very nice!! :) I love this song and your voice is heavenly! I want to sing this song!

  • swooning....vibrato. love,...no--adore your voice. "amass" was the best part. the gestures were not too distracting. It just shows what's going on in your head and how you want the song to flow. I love your voice! I'm doing this piece for solo/ensemble contest in march. hopefully, i can do it justice. subbed! Uh-may-sing! [:

  • @tenten547 Thank you!!!

  • This is such a beautiful song. You executed it sooo well. I love your phrasing. GREAT JOB! :)

  • Hey, Do you have a name so one can follow your career? Great stuff. I just found this tune and was blown away. You sing it very well....Don't worry about your hands, they're attached to the arms for a reason and you use them quite nicely

  • wow... that is all i can say! I am singing this for juries and your rendition has given me some insight into what I would like to do. Thank you and PLEASE don't stop singing ever!

  • Ohh, my goodness, you have such a wonderful voice! I love the way how you "conduct" the phrases.. Don't know how to say that, hope you understand.. :/! Anyways, I loved your performance!

  • @Impersand Thanks, although I know full well I wasn't supposed to do that. ;) I'm getting better at control for sure.

  • Wow you have a great voice (:

I'm singing this song for a competition in about 3 months. It's a beautiful piece.

Also listening to you helped me with dynamics and what-not. Thank you for putting this up (:

  • A very gifted singer! Where are you these days?

  • Truly remarkable for someone your age!

  • Yes, it's lovely -- and so are you. I like the way you took over the lead from the pianist during the last part. You seemed more secure there. Earlier there were disconnects in your presentation, as if it wasn't clear to you if the pianist, your hands, or your voice were on point. Nevertheless, what I do with the song will be different now that I've heard you.

  • Bravo!

  • so beautiful...

  • id fuck you any day after i heard that

  • beautiful, beautiful, beautiful,

  • aw robert. you're so talented!

i was at your house tonight with andrea and eva.

we watched home videos of your middle school concerts haha.

that wade in the water song was def my fav :P

i think this one needs a little more SOUL haha

    :D

  • Your color and timber is fabulous. Like some of the vowels are a little too dark in my (humble) opinion, but wow your voice is gorgeous :) And the only other thing I'd say is modulate your volume. It was kind of the same throughout. Regardless, this is just great, I love it! :)

  • Awesome. Love your work.

  • @rlane91 Wow, thank you! I love comments like this, that are so constructive and yet really positive. I'm still in High School, but I take the college student assumption as a compliment. Coincidentally enough, in a recent masterclass, the teacher kept on telling me, "Open your mouth! Open your mouth", I know exactly what you're talking about. And concerning my movements, hahaha. Still a work in progress. They'll get better, though I assure you.

  • beautiful voice bro, i sang this as a junior recently, tell me what you think of mine. under walker mcnabb

  • Great singing, good behaviour. The longer notes seem a bit airy and lack 'fullness'. But a huge hand for the smoothness. I don't know whether It's natural for you but it's hell to learn doing it so nicely ;)

  • Really nice singing. Nice quality voice and it's very soothing. One thing though... the hand gestures are a bit distracting. Other than that, A+
