if i am correct wasnt kirk assimalated by the borg then was rescued and had most of the implants removed i havnt actually read the books lol but this would make the date of 2373 around the time of first contact

@Wharding85 I like how they can remove Borg implants without any trouble at all, apparently. Like at the end of Best of Both Worlds where Crusher said they'll come right out. Meanwhile, in Babylon 5, the Shadow implants are so bad ass that you can't even move external pieces of the implants without it killing the person.

this is a production by fans for fans. most fans want kirk back.the year is in reference to either the novels of kirk in the 24th century or the ''bring back kirk'' trailer.remember kirk(shatner)was in the nexus in the exact uniform that cauley is wearing here.

@Knight121198 2273 is the year TMP took place so I think you are right. It makes sense with the uniforms and the rankings but I don't get the part about them being thru death and life together.

Temporal Investigations would have roasted them for taking part in any sort of event that might have altered the time line, even if it wasn't their doing - you need only look at DS-9 : ' Trials And Tribble-ations ' to see how much Sisco wanted to avoid messing with them.

If Pike could repair damages and keep the primary bridge crew from speaking of it ( the Bridge Crew would know more than the rest of the ship would ) he could cover it up.

Reporting the event could change the future.

Temporal Investigations wouldn't have existed, yet. The first example of time travel in Star Trek was in Amok Time, which would have occured several years after Pike was in the battles portrayed in the show. Just a thought..

Correction my friend, as we have seen time and time again there was incidents of time travel since long before the Federation was formed, the series ENTERPRISE depended on it as a concept, Temporal Investigations would have been around in some capacity.

remember that until the planet killer was restored to its proper time history had been altered. therefore its possible that kirk survived his encounter with Soran. the wearing of the uniform could simply be a bit nostalgic after all he'd brought his old ship out of mothballs!

Actually, I'm betting the appearance of the Kirk and Spock from 2373 is supposed to be a reference to William Shatner's Star Trek novels in which Kirk was resurrected after dying in Star Trek: Generations and later went on to have a few adventures with Captain Picard and the 24th century Spock.
