  • Could this be run faster on your machine?

  • @christafarion9 i changed to a different endmill and am running higher spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut now.

  • @christafarion9 this op is down to just over a minute now. i have sped up the thread milling op in the next video a little bit but that part is still over 3 minutes since i am using a single profile thread mill. one of these days i will spend the money to get a full profile thread mill and should be able to be under 2 minutes total for both ops. i don't do enough of them at this point to justify the cost of the full profile thread mill.

  • @300sniper Yeah I totally get that. That's really fast already anyways, especially if you only do a few for friends or whatever. It's not like you need a dedicated machine spitting out threaded bolts all day at 30 seconds each! haha
