At dark: How old are you? I hate to sound like the annoying nagging mother, but belting isn't something you force upon your self. I discovered how to do it outside my voice lessons, and then incorporated it into the rest of my songs.
belting is something that has a technic...I'm 18, my singing teacher teaches me the technics...and from this on you have to learn by yourself...but of cours you can be teach belting...
@Nikbin32092 It's not that hard if it's your voice...... Gaga doesn't necessarily have a good range but Born This Way is in the key of F and she belts an F all through it. Lea Michele just can do all keys.
In case you were wondering, I was asking why she thought harmony was hard in general, not the specific harmony for this song. Really, neither should be difficult if you have an idea as to what you're doing.
The girl with the really short hair is Krysta Rodriguez. She was part of the original Broadway cast as an ensemble member. I think she also understudied the roles of Wendla, Ilse, and Anna.
She also went on for Martha, and she was on for Thea for one full show and a half of another, I believe. She's now in In the Heights, understudying Vanessa, Nina, and Carla. She's pretty fierce. :)
Whoa. Looks like she pretty much covered every female role. Thanks for the info!
I love In the Heights! And from what I've heard, Krysta is one fierce person, doing all that crazy dancing and singing eight times a week. I would love to see her play Vanessa.

Yeah. they went sharp around the first "no sleep in heaven"... i mean it still sounds excellent, but it's hard. when a couple people go sharp the whole group has to or ales it sounds bad.

This is an entire half step up from the original recording.
Not only is it ridiculously hard to sing, but Lea finds a way to belt the F (which should be an E) like no fucking other.
Amazing.

That is exactly what I was going to say. Not every person can belt an F4. Then again, not every person is Lea Michele.

I don't know why people are 'thumbs-downing' this. I think it is phenomenal that Lea can belt an F [which it was, in fact, not an E].

She's one of few who can belt an F4, in the Broadway arena. I would kill just to belt a C4.
