hmm let me see what is the purpose of really lose drag at leas tighten it up a little so a bluegill dosent make the reel scream and to make it a little more worth a wile catch a crappie or catfish realy!!!

there more fun and the biggest fish cought on these was a 20lb carp and using like 4lb test line

i really have my doubts...the line wont break because the line is about 15lbs stronger than they say...but the pole would probably break or your reel would blow up (yes that does happen)

these penrods are great quality and tons of fun anyhow i use 4lb test on mine and catch decent bass with white grubs. i just like ultra light

the reels are all aluminum or graphite there good quality

Uhh did you know that rod is only 8 inches long when its folded up?

It is the BEST pen fishing rod available for the price. And yes you have to sacrifice drag when you have an ultralight that small.
