Yes, I know that those lines aren't the same as the original. But wasn't it you who said it SHOULD be an original piece? Your logic, sir, is flawed, and very hypocritical. And it sounds to me like those are the only things you could find to criticize. I'm sorry our very sheltered and isolated high school doesn't meet your high criteria, especially since a lot of the audience were children.
And that, sir, is why your opinion doesn't matter.
@SirBob5 I agree that the other guy's logic is faulty, but changing those lines in particular makes Captain Hammer less of a misogynist douchebag. If it were my high school, we wouldn't have changed those lines at all. I think someone actually dropped an F-bomb in one of our plays, but I live in a relatively liberal-minded town, so I'm sure it comes with the territory. But other than that, fantastic job. Doctor Horrible's voice is *perfect*.
@SirBob5 If their children and sheltered then they shouldn't get that reference. Anyways, that is the best joke in that song. If you have to censor the play, it isn't worth performing.
@SirBob5 Clearly this person in unaware of the intricacies of navigating the social politics of a small town high school production. I'm surprised that they even let you get away with sating the word 'ass' multiple times. At any rate, you guys put on an amazing adaptation of Dr. Horrible.
@dothebedn Actually, you're wrong, it's "sleep with the same girl twice. Either way, why would they say that in a highschool production? They always cut out the really inappropriate things.
@dothebedn about that, actually: it was likely toned down for a younger audience. grow the fuck up. let's see you put on a play of this and manage to do well.
I adore your Captain Hammer. So cheesy and awesome. Definitely like a pie!

It's really good for highschool, would of been better though if there were laser sound effects

Great idea using the audience as part of the play. Makes me wish we had this at my school even more >_<

Slipping has to be my favorite song from Dr. Horrible. And I must say that this version is pretty damn awesome.
The evil laugh and the "it's two r's" thing were perfection!

I do love the orginal lyrics to this song, but for this being a highschool thing I think the lyrics are pretty good

Woo! Your "yeah it's two 'r's...H-o-r-r, yeah...right!" was perfect!

Wow, "Slipping" was really good. I am a very, very, very, critical judge when it comes to singing and you gave me a couple of chills.

They did cut some good jokes, but they didn't cut out the best joke ("Let's all be our best/Next up, who's gay?")

first, poor guy who played captain hammer having to hold that pose.
and really nice punch.
overall, yeah it has some problems, but for a high school play, it's not bad.
and dr. horrible was really cool. =]

You get to do the weird stuff, not fun stuff.
And it is haing sex with the same girl twice, not go out with the same girl twice.
That is why highschool plays dont matter.

You can tell which audience members were fans when they started waving their hands and which ones were their to support and hadn't seen it before.

"So they say" didn't quite flow so well, and you cut out the best joke! Damn censorship.
