  • whats with all the trolling here? seiously. this iss a pretty good idea. all you have to do is sit your device on the mat and leave it to charge. if you dont like it. dont buy it and stop commenting on this video.

  • the only real use i can see for this is a space saver on ur plug in outlets but if u only have 1 gadget its not really that usefull

  • I don't get it, how does it work? And what is it that's wireless?

  • i cannot see any sense in this device. if there was an opportunity to charge you smartphone directly (like the palm pre with the stone), it would be a really nice idea. but with this i still have to put plug into my phone. where's the sense in that?

  • You can charge devices directly you just pop them in a jacket of a replacement battery door. If however you have an unsupported device you have the option of the adapter block thing

  • Not A Couple... A Few.. A Couple Is 2.. :)

  • I think this is actually quite a silly idea.. it seems as if americans will do anything to be lazy

  • this dude need to learn how 2 speak english

  • Are you talking about me?

  • it isnt really wireless since it has 2 be physically connected onto the point which makes a circuit so it bridges the two

  • You're missing the point and the part of the video where I explained the add-on for iPhone and Blackberry. The basic kit comes with the PowerCube to get you up and running, you buy the accessories you need for the handsets you have to charge wirelessly.

  • yes i understand and know about the accesories but what im on about is that fact that the power pack plate thing on the back of the case has to be physically touching the mat to charge so it isnt wireless really ----(about the mat) think its a waste since its £60min for a cable tidy....just think its a gimmick that is trying to be something that it isn't...like wow i got wireless charging...though i still have physically connect it to something

  • This is going to be out dated next year....

Since all mobiles will have the same Power cord

  • ITS A GLORIFIED FUCKING CABLE TIDY!!

  • I don't know why people have such a hard time undestanding this!

  • The whole idea is that its wireless right? It doesn't need to be!! Your always gonna need the fucking coil to plug in to it!! It doesn't make the slightest bit of sence unless you had a permanent solution plugged in to your phone. Its a fucking rip off people are just gonna end up loosing the little white thing. I'm not discussing it further and for those reasons I'M OUT!!

  • Ok, lets clear this up. IT IS wireless if you buy the jackets for the iPhone of the battery door things for the blackberry, DS etc. The basic kit comes with the PowerCube to get you up and running, you buy the accessories you need to charge wirelessly. I dont see why no one get this it's pretty simple.

  • Ok I get the idea that theres a jacket it goes with. That makes it marginally better sure but does it make it more bulky? because I'm now thinking its just a phone with that white thing strapped to the back.

  • No, they are really slim things, just a coid. They also double as a protector for the iPhone. As for the Blackberry, they just replace the standard battery door. Wish I had one to demo!

  • I see a need for people like you guys to perhaps pay more attention when you're viewing a video. All in all, this Powermat device is just an adapter for your devices to sit on before the main cable of the Powermat plugs into your main power outlet.

  • Geez, I see many failures at listening to what he is trying to say. This Powermat device is obviously one for you to have multiple devices charged up at once, perhaps something like a multifunctional adapter. It also comes in place with all the different mobile platforms charging connectors. Matt even added on about the jackets that your mobile devices like the blackberry can slot into and sit directly on the Powermat to be charged.

  • does it sync an ipod?

  • what will they come up with next?

  • this is sooooooooo stupid y do u need something like this when u can plug ur phone to ur charger and charge it and save £60-£70

  • agreed, I was quite puzzled at first with this product. Senseless right?

  • comes in to its own with the jackets for devices really.

  • Cant really see the point..

  • Why not just make sort of a back cover for each device with a built in plug so that there is no dangling shit hanging off the device. Then just place it on the pad(even that sound stupid but a little bit more sense than this).

  • That's exactly what this thing is for, you get jackets, or battery covers for devices and sit them on the mat.

  • I can't believe that this thing actually exists, and more incredible is that somebody would actually buy it :)

Am I missing something? First you connect the pad with charger, and then you connect your device with that stupid dangling piece?!

And then you place it on the pad and it charges? Wheres the wireless in that?

  • You are missing the bit in the video where I mention the jackets and battery doors.

  • @leodee

O.K. that kinda makes sense but the way this comes shipped is ridiculous. Powerpad and that dangling piece?! Its far more easier(and takes a lot less space) just to charge the device with a standard wall plug or a dock. Still don't get whats with that dangling piece

  • With the jackets, this might make more sense.

  • Americans..

  • Not so impressed , not wireless when you have to connect a cable or am i missing something ?

  • yes you are!

  • is it just me or does this seem to be a tad pointless? what the difference between plugging your device into the powermat power receiver (or whatever it's called) instead of a normal charger?

  • Well the biggest benefit is for iPhone and Blackberry users that can use either a jacket or a battery door version of the receiver.

  • fair enough, but what about all the other gadgets we got lying around like a psp etc? what's the rrp of those receiver things if one would want to charge three gadgets simultaneously?

  • That's exactly what im thinking man..it just looks fancy.

  • Can you put a laptop on it hahahaha imma put myself n charge meeeeeeee

  • how many cell phones or devices can u charge on that thing?

  • it said 3 on the box

  • three :D

  • You need the case to be able to just put on the power mat. Should of came with a universal case. So you don't have to acually plug it in. Cool device anyways. Nice vid.

  • Not convinced by this yet. Maybe once they support more handsets it'll be better but at the moment the fact that I'd have to find the puck charger then attach that to my Hero then place it on the powermat defeats the object of walking in plonking my device onto the mat and have it charge.

  • whoa nice!
