this is actually very true as i found out in 2006 before i left mormonism. i found out during a sunday school lesson that every woman in the releif society was either on anti depressants anti psychotics or anti anxiety meds! they were giving a sunday school lesson abt all the side effects and what to expect. they were talking abt it all in a way that seemed as if it were normal! as if they were talking about cookies at a bake sale!

Are you kidding me mormongirl04? I used to be a dumb mormon..but then i became a born again. BEST DECISION EVER. My life is better, i feel like a real person again! If you tell people to go research things, then go research them yourself. If you don't want to read things from other religions, then go read your history, i challenge you. Oh? You don't need to? I'm happy, I'm not on antidepressants. The only time I got depressed was because of high school drama, or because of health issues. Also, we are asked, like all women who marry (no matter what religion), to be a good wife and mother. We can still hold jobs, go to school, and be something other than JUST a wife and mother. I plan on being a doctor and still have kids, attend church, and be a good wife. A person is only happy if they WANT TO BE. NOT based on what religion they are.

yeah but do marry because it's what YOU want.. or because THEY say you MUST? can you be a single, successful career-oriented mormon woman? and also, do THEY ask the mormon men to be good husbands and fathers? do THEY follow through? I think not. Religion is the ultimate form of mind control. It is men's way of trying to control women and the masses throughout history. you cannot deny that.. and if you do, you're denial is out of fear. fear of opposing. fear of questioning.

Women are glorified as much as men if they lead good lives. And we do NOT believe in polygamy.

I agree, currently, you guys don't believe in polygamy but the church used to practice polygamy because it came as a "revelation" from god. Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were polygamists.

It was a revelation, but we no longer practice, and God no longer condones it. It is considered adultery, and that is a sin. And BTW, Joseph Smith was martyred before that revelation. He had only one wife.

omg, you're the most ignorant person I have ever talked to. I studied history, I've been following Mormon history closely. Mormon sources for history are the most unreliable ever, the church is hiding these things from you and you can't see it because you don't want to, you close your eyes and your ears and don't want to hear the world. Study Mormon history from a Non-Mormon source, they have evidence to back up everything they say.

I have, actually. The only ones that talk like you are the ones with thousands of grammatical errors. Not to mention, the websites are poorly designed by people who mainly just trash talk Mormonism and other religions. I would love to SEE actual historical evidence that Joseph Smith killed two men and burned that place down. And I'm talking about journals, letters, and newspaper articles from that time period. I'm through with you. You obviously have no respect for others.

I have respect, sorry but you get on my nerves that you believe in that church and that man who was obviously a polygamist. I wish you could realize all of these things sooner. And not all of those websites are anti-mormon, they're some that just apply common sense. Its good to question your faith, I did it and found evidence for my church dating back to Jesus time and found no evidence for the book of mormon. Read Galatians 1:6-10 and Deuteronomy 18:22
