haha, see you every day brother, what are the chances I find your reply to this song by chance? 90's rocked for the 14 and 88 skinheads, hillbilly's and the klan. David Allen Coe rocked decade after decade!!!
I never let anyone know I was the brother of "Rodeo", even when he almost died in Laramie WY...My C.O. offered to frag me a bird to fort laramie...I declined; I had Marines going thru Human Relations training...not cool for a Marine SNCO to be so closely related to openly racist redneck scum...ESPECIALLY since our Mother was so leftist in her beliefs...now you you know the truth Mike...
Thanks for the posting. Great job by David on a great song. One of the few people with a true-fine voice for belting out a country song. Think I'll just have a cold one and enjoy!!!
A great song, indeed. David Allen Coe does a great job in this. Background band is great. I also like George Jones' version. I like George's voice better but David's background band here does a better job, in my opinion.
This song was written by Ms. Linda Hargrove of Panacea, FL... Google her. She wrote MANY of the hits of the 70's and 80's for many performers. SHE is the awesome one responsible for this wonderful song!
@TheAmydanielle dude holy fuckin shit I've always known this song but never lookd it up on utube since i first ever heard it i knew i was gonna play it at my wedding lmfao mad coincedence
