  • Thank you Angela @mrsMj2007 for sharing this again. Let us never forget al that he gave this world. He really did give his all but at the end of the day he was a Man a human being and need to be respected as such. Not Just an Iconic figure

  • God Bless you Gladys. Thank you for loving Michael.

  • God Bless you Gladys.

    Thank you for sharing. :-))

  • Thanks Gladys had he more people like yourself ,E.Talor,&Q.Jones around him he'd be here with us today.Alot had happen because alot was going on inside him from his childhood till the end.I seen him live and would love to see you on stage

  • this is the lady who gets no credit but is responsible for discovering the j5 not daina ross. she never spoke bad about mike

  • @tihong10 You dumb ass. Is that ALL you could find to say about this interview? Go put your head back up your ass and DON'T come out again. You're a jerk.

  • Michael gave so much of himself and everything he had, as if he owed the world. The way I see it, the world owes Michael a ton. He provided us with music and entertainment we will never again see in this lifetime.

  • "He had a lot of problems but was a great entertainer" is not any great compliment, you know. Guess what? He was also a gentle, highly intellectual, self educated and incredibly intelligent, generous, vastly mis-understood and kind (almost to a fault of himself) humanitarian. Pity he is not recognized for anything but 'Thriller', in death.

  • I make it a habit not to believe most of the crap the press write aabout someone. michael had a lot of problems but he was a great entertainer..A lot of people did seem to take advantage of him..I love what Gladys had to say.

  • I admire Glady's nIght long time ago..as a singer--and she said it all right for MJ! He was so good for this world! RIP my angel and my brother!

  • Gladys Knight is a beautiful and classy lady and I'm happy MJ had true friends like her. Rest in peace MJ<333

  • I love you Gladys for saying that. She's right. It's over, let him rest. I do believe the only wrong decision in his private life that i'm privy too, is he should have gone to court on the first case. Resolved that and moved on. I don't for one second believe any of the allegations. I do believe this man was misunderstood and wrongly judged by the media. He gave us his gift and the many gave him their undying love. That is what i'm going to hold onto. MJ rest in peace baby. Job well done.

  • He gave us more than what we ever could have imagined. He was an ICON, magical, talented and very very gifted. We took him for granted while he was alive, Shame on us, Shame on the world. HE Gave us MUCH more than any human being alone could ever give in a lifetime. The beauty about MJ is he challenged himself to do better than he had done, HE was a gift to the world and I appreciated every album, CD and every interview he ever gave us. RIP my Brother, RIP.

  • EXCELLENT ACCOLADES FOR MICHAEL JACKSON!!!THANK YOU GLADYS!!!!

  • You couldn't have said it any better Gladys. Thank you.

  • found not guilty on my 13th b-day!

    long live the king

    well spoken glady

  • i hate it how all these ppl acted like they were his closest friends after he died but when he was alive they would go shhh when they heard his name. I think of these ppl being MJs real friends (these ppl didnt do a interview rite after he died either): diana ross, chris tucker, stevie wonder, liz taylor, brooke shields and barry gordy.

  • Thank you Gladys. You are a classy lady, and a true friend.

  • I can understand what Knight is saying, but I feel like total crap because M.J is gone! So I can realate and understand what she is saying.

  • All I have to say is watch and read about how J Edgar Hoover tried to DISCREDIT the great MARTIN LUTHER KING and the lengths he went to because he was getting TOO POWERFUL. THE SAME DAMN THING HAPPENED TO MICHAEL. There are a lot of people with blood on their hands. Y'ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!! GOD NEVER SLEEPS

  • Could not have said it better myself....will always love his spirit

  • Gladys Knight, a true entertainer

  • If you think about it, everyone who knew MJ personally like Gladys, friends etc. had really positive things to say about him because thats what they saw & got to know about him. Yet when the media takes one little thing because he's a really big superstar, they exaggerate it or LIE to sell a story...because he is MICHAEL JACKSON.. Remember him for the talent he shared with us because thats what he gave to us, not what the media made about him and fed to those that are ignorant.

  • Oh thank you candy for sharing this.

Gladysmy heart thanks you for you told it how it is.

  • god bless you

    thanks for sharing Candy

  • Gladys you are a wonderful woman! I have always loved your songs. Now I love you more! Thank you for the great words you said about our Angel! Michael we will always love you...

  • God bless you,Gladys.

    Florenta

  • Michael know that we always loved you, and still do and always will.

  • @Ketren2 .. Amen ! Amen to every single fact you stated. You said it right on and I totally agree 100%.

  • Let's make it right for Michael. mjtruthnow com

  • Let's make it right for Michael. mjtruthnow com

  • ....Gladys Knight has been good to Reno....luv herrrrr.

  • gladys knightis a legend, and she recognized talent in these young boys...

berry gordy didnt even want young kids signed to his label but he couldnt resist! Mj was makin history and breaking records before even hittinghis teens!

he was sooooooo effing adorable as a child... i just looove him sooo much!

i got his back no matter what!

    *biggest mj fan*

  • Gladys you asre still beautiful lady. Your words and music took me through a generation.

  • Gladys Thank You for your kind words towards Michael. You are a phenomenal woman, very sincere, caring & understanding! You are speaking from your heart and touching so many hearts through your words, including mine. Thank you, just thank you.

  • To paraphrase Maya Angelou, you gave us everything you had, and we had you...

We are so lucky to have had you here on the planet with us at the same time. Now you're making your music with all the greats and your energy is still returning to us back here. Love you, Michael.

  • Michael lived as a prisoner of his own fame.he enjoyed his music very much , he loved to share his talent. To him it was not only about the money he get from it..but the joy of sharing and doing what he thought the reason he was here on earth, But he paid a high price for it. I mean it was already hard enough to contain all the fame, but then, too many people have made it more harder for him...spreading a lot of untruthful stories about him,,,he needed this pain killers and I understand him.

  • True dat.

  • we loveeeeeeeee u mike ;D

  • Michael Jackson brought enchantment to our world through his music. His quest to help others is a legacy we need to continue and make a difference especially for our children. His music that inspires all of us to do better for some one else and we should. If one man can do so much for so many, you just try helping somebody, some how, some way in his honor?

  • It's good, even comforting, to know Michael Jackson had a friend like Gladys IKnight who, undoubtedly, was a true friend to him. Being one who knows what she meant when she said "I know my heavenly Father", I'm so glad to know that Michael Jackson had someone like her whose prayers for him, I'm sure she offered many, "availed much" considering their eternal value. God bless you, Gladys!

  • Well said Gladys!

  • don t miss fantasia vh1 reality show "fantasia for real" that airs on vh1 jan11

  • micheal jackson the king of pop. a lot of people evpect so from him he was under so much purere from his fan from his familys from every on so i guess he just give up ans startinng taking durgs. ho god hewant to sleep so bad he just want to sleep. the world must all rember him for his greats but at lest he get his wish he is reating

  • What a true friend Michael had in you, Ms. Gladys Knight. Thank you for speaking the truth about Michael, and for always being by Michael's side, not just after his death but during his life as well!!!! God Bless You!

  • @Dare2drm37 I agree with you on your comment. A lot of people in the media thought MJ didn't have any friends in Hollywood who loved and supported him during the trial. He did but most of them didn't go public about it because the media during that time were all about any negative stories. They few who went public to defend him in interviews were cut off by interviews...they don't even let them finish their defense of MJ. MJ had real friends and I'm glad Gladys Knight was one of them.

  • Thank u Gladys, u r a woman of class.

  • such grace

  • Gladys Knight has always been so gracious and so nice from everything I can see of her.

  • I am listening to this for the first time. When Michael died I was too sad overwhelmed to listen to anyone speak on television. I wouldn't even listen to his music because as a fan, I was in deep denial. I'm glad that Gladys was his friend and didn't desert him (like so many others did) during his trial. Michael Jackson was a fantastic person, I don't even need to explain why. Thanks, Gladys, for being Michael's friend and giving him face to face support when the rest of us couldn't.

  • I wonder why the commentator said " this person" and not say Michael Jackson...what's up with that? It's almost like not acknowledging MJ. It bothers me.

  • welcome to the wonderful world called american showbusiness. this is the type of social behaviour they teach on the tube in the states today.......

sometimes the enemy is right in front of you .........

  • I'm crying right now bc I truly understand what she is saying...None of us knew the pressures MJ had lived under in order to live his dream...we take so much for granted and assume sooo much about

a man that none can be compared to or even imagine the true scoop of his being. the KING OF POP!! THE KING...I couldn't walk in his shoes, if I tried. So much was expected of him and he graciously, for over 40 years, gave us his all.

  • Brainwashed/Poisoned= Lazy, ignorant, GULLIBLE people who are just content to swallow the TABLOID information hook, line and sinker! These are the rabid MJ HATERS, who hate out of sheer IGNORANCE, prejudice, malice and without any solid basis!

ENLIGHTENED=Skeptical, highly intelligent, independent THINKERS who DID LOTS of personal RESEARCH to search out the TRUTH, and are very knowledgeable about the trials! And these are the CONVERTED MJ fans, who LOVED what they came to LEARN about MJ!!!

  • @George007Kelley I remember spending months on the internet with not only fans but friends and family of Mj's discussing the trials and worried about how biased the media was and how incredibly prejudice the system is in Santa Barbara county. We were disgusted by the lies and rumors being spread by not just the tabloid media but by the news media, how can people who were just supposed to "report" the news live with themselves after destroying a mans life like that? But you are so right.

  • @George007Kelley You are a beautiful and insightful person who knows the true meaning of spirit and humanity.

Being an avid michael fan since i was 3 and loving him even now 25 years later i have never given up hope knowledge and faith in our dear departed friend. I never knew him personally but has touched our lives and those who truly paid attention were his true fans and they knew him more than any media could ever talk trash about. Bless you my friend.....Bless you.

  • @George007Kelley

That is an accurate comment. I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, it seems a large portion of our society are the brainwashed/poisoned individuals who are easily lead like sheep by whatever sensational lies/stories that is feed to them through the press. And this is pretty much for any story - from entertainment to politics. But if you think about it, it's easier to be an ignoramus. One doesn't have to utilize critical thinking skills.

  • Very well said, Ms. Knight!!!

  • god bless you gladys

  • Amen, Gladys...I wish others who were really close and knew him ...shared similiar comments...the press has had a field day but their day of judgement is coming soon.

  • Lay it down Gladys...

  • TELL IT LIKE IT IS GLADYS!!!!

  • PREECH GLADYS PREECH!

  • Thank you CBS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GLADY'S KNIGHT. More that anybody else, I would think you are most authoritative person who can best define, apart from Liz Taylor, WHO IS THE REAL MICHAEL JACKSON, THE HUMAN MJ! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU & GOD BLESS!

  • gladys, liza, and liz, bless you all. they all saw michael as someone positive, they were his "true friends"

  • Gladys made the comment that "we made him the biggest star and then we tore him apart, piece by piece. We did this to him!" Man can truly be a beast. All Michael ever wanted to do was share his heart with the world. And, in return, so many others just broke it into a million pieces.

  • I remember having seen a man saying Michael was the one who would give his last _anything_ to make someone else happy. Anyone knows who said it?

  • Love, love, LOVE Gladys and MJ, thank you for standing up for this sweet soul Ms. Knight, bless you!!!

  • Thankyou Gladys and thankyou Michael.

I didn't tell you how much we love you when you were alive, I had no way to. I hope you know now - - we love you most.

  • Gladys Knight did tell truth though

  • We support complete vindication of MJ by mainstream media. MJ was exonerated by a jury. Not good enough. For his childrens sake, the media must become more responsible. We discuss how truth can compel the media to publicly admit it wrongly accused MJ of despicable crimes. Many people still believe MJ was guilty. They were influenced to believe the allegations were true by a biased media. Please join us. No links allowed here, so search at Yahoo Groups for "vindication better than tributes."

  • oh didnt see this interview before!! you're great Gladys, and great words there!

    RIP Michael

  • Great to see Gladys and so nice to hear her speak so movingly of the fab MJ. Miss you , Michael.

Coming to see you, Gladys, in Wembley on Oct 9th.....can't wait.

  • Oh, this was so good to hear! Michael did have some great friends who really cared about him. It was nice hearing Gladys recount some of her memories of him. Yeah, he has some very good friends. Friends who were really there for him when it counted, too.

  • I LOVE her. She was right on spot with everything she said!

  • gladys knight says some very deep things and things alot of us fans forget. MJ was human like me and you. MJ endured so much and gave so much most of us usually put that on the side burner but we shouldnt. just like mrs. knight said we need to remember him for his good deeds because i pray to God that he is resting with him. MJ went through hell on earth a lot but his children brought him joy and will continue to.

  • Wow, she is beautiful does she age? She is so smart. I love what she said about Michael.......

  • Gladys was a good friend and like another mom to MJ.

  • Gladys is soooo gorgeous!!! Wonderful words!!!!

  • amen 4 this video

  • nice video :)

  • thank you sister knight for that true testamony x x

  • OMG!!! Gladys looks amzing!!!!!

  • That's right Gladys, tell em G. Preach and let congregation say AMEN!

  • PREACH Woman!!

badgyrl you are damn sure right. What is all this thumbs down on comments BS about? Your comment makes perfect sense to me. Thank you for it.

Notice the difference between what performers, (who knew Michael) say and what news people and media (who never met the man) say. It's a massive difference. Anyone who knew him sums up the REAL truth of the fragile genius, and everyone else witters on about surgery.

AMEN! Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King !

  • My goodness, I just love her! She looks like an African Goddess and she's pushing into her seventies, looking just as beautiful and sounding better than ever! Few knew that Gladys was the true founder of the Jacksons and how close she was to the family!

Thank you Gladys for adding another element that shows the world that Michael was a very beautiful human being!

  • This is what Michael Jackson also wants us to remember him - his music and love that he gave to us. He said he wants people to focus on his music, his art, his contribution to humanity. Please, please stop all those innuendos, those allegations and those accusations. Let's give Michael the honor and dignity that he really deserves.

  • Wow. Thank you Gladys. I love you for those wonderful words on MJ and I love you for all those wonderful songs that you have given us that made us feel good as well.

  • My Friend Gladys

Thank you for saying them kind words about michael and yes we all try to reach out..but like you said lets not focus on the wrong and the past.but focus on the accolades of his life on how happy and wounderful he made us feel through his music..

    I love you

Bless you!! my dear friend Gladys.

    From Phoenix

Long time friend of the jackson family

  • Very well said, Gladys! Thank you for bringing Michael goodness to light. Many people didn't know him behind his songs and dances. He gave us so much and yet so many the so-called human beings were ready to destroy him.

  • When you post a picture of yourself on youtube then we can talk, so I can criticize.

  • lol!

  • She's very beautiful ... btw she's over 60 yrs old ...

  • This was perfect. THank you Gladys

  • Wow .....I was refreshed by what she had to say. Its much more and is worthwhile when someone who was unjaded and knew him personally can share moments like this. None of us will ever know what he had to go thru as silly as it may have sounded from his mouth. This represents the closest thatt we can ever come to the proof and understanding his genius and desperation to simply live. Thanks Gladys

  • Thank you Ms. Gladys Knight

"WHITE MEDIA" could not possibly understand or care about how Michael Jackson lived......They just after "Scandals"....GOD GIVES HIS BLESSING TO THE "TRUE & THE DESERVING"....MICHAEL DIdn't steal anything but Americas HEART....THANK YOU MICHAEL JACKSON & FAMILY.....RIP......MICHAEL "PRINCE" OF THIS WORLD.....JOSEPH JACKSON IS THE" KING".......MS KATHERINE IS THE "QUEEN"......MAY "GOD" CONTINUE TO BLESS THE JACKSON FAMILY......

  • Musical royalty speaking on musical royalty. Empress of Soul Gladys Knight and King of Pop Michael Jackson. Gladys speaks so lovingly, caringly and regally.

  • accolades must also go to this 'phenomenal' woman/icon...we can be sure that any hours Michael spent with Gladys were warm and loving...She shared her glorious (untarnished) gifts from a very young age also, and is one of the few remaining legends we can turn to for clarity in re-telling, rather than re-writing history.

As we are inundated with MJ revelations, it is the amazing work left for us that matters most. It cost him his life here, but its brilliance will outlive all critics.

  • Comment removed

  • She couldn't have put it in a simpler way.

  • Michael Jackson was as HUMAN as the rest of us! We all mourn the loss of our Soldier's....and the "allegations" about Michael Jackson were never 'founded'! Leave your nastiness elsewhere! Let the PERSON rest in peace! He gave us all special gifts and lessons! Maybe you should take heed from his laughter and grace!

  • The EMPRESS OF SOUL GLADYS KNIGHT is the greatest singer on Earth!!

The Empress talks about the King.

  • Wow I never knew she felt so passionately about him, I'm all like teary... Glads trust me I feel your hurt.

  • Gladys Knight said it all. Thank you Ms. knight.

  • Bravo Gladys Bravo

  • Gladys Knight is the one who actually discovered The Jackson 5 and tried to get them to Motown, but Berry Gordy didn't listen to her. A few months later Bobby Taylor, another Motown artist, told Gordy about the group and got them sign to Motown. For publicity sack Gordy decided to proclaim Diana Ross as discovering the Jackson Five.

  • Thank you Gladys for such beautiful advice. Michael must be remembered for his music and nothing else. You were right there from the beginning and should be applauded for 'discovering' the Jacksons, especially Michael. God bless Michael.

  • then why the fuck are you watching MJ videos dumbass go watch some Elvis videos then .your the disgrace that you had to take the time out and search a video of someone you dont like and write some hateful shit about him you fucking low-life.

  • well-said

  • Prince you son of a bitch!!!! All MJ ever wanted to do was to at least perform or make a video with you simply because his heart was about making good music EVEN THOUGH HE WAS BEYOND WHAT YOU WILL EVER BE! Kiss my ass you stinking pompous rude midget...i hope you NEVER show your bloody face at ANY OF MJ'S TRIBUTE SHOWS...you ungrateful stingy psycho freak!

  • gladys is so right! everybody should respect michael and his family at this point in time. i hope people (his followers or not...) will give the jackson family the privacy they need and the time to mourn over the death of their dearly beloved michael. RIP michael, all my prayers are with you.

  • its sad whenever anyone passes before their time, and none of us know what he went through personally mentally or physically

  • God I am devestated. What a tragic lost to the world. Michael Jackson was not only gifted beyond belief but he was also such a wonderful human being and a giving person to the fullest. .... Just so sad right now. So sad.

  • WELL SAID!

  • man i still can't believe it .............dis can't be ending like this

  • oh gosh poor little Michael.. I'm sure not many of us really thought of how much he really missed out on becoming the awesomeLEGEND, SUPERSTAR, KING OF POP Michael Jackson, leaving behind such a great legacy

  • damn! Gwladys , that was a good eulogy

  • if i WAS NEAR YOU I WOULD SLIT YOUR FUCKEN THROAT......

  • you know what fuck you fuckin sick son of a bitch

  • it sould've been someone in your family that had dropped dead, you bitch!

  • RIP! MJ
