Lest we forget, repentance from sin, our sinful life, and turning to God the Son, JESUS CHRIST - and proclaiming Him as LORD means that our lives are no longer our own; that we belong to Him exclusively, possess rights of our own no longer, but follow Him wholeheartedly - this is counting the cost of making Him our LORD and SAVIOR - this is not a 'payment' for salvation, merely a conjunctive of salvation as well as a consequence.
