I know u have all the knowledge on how to lose weigh u have done it before. You seem to thrive with close friends on the same path....any other close friends wanting to lose weight or get fit?
With money tight do u need to pay the extra to go to JC or WW. In saying that the accountability thing works well if u have someone to to be accountable to. So having weigh in every week many help.
I think the dancig thing would be great (sorry cant help with info on that).
Yay, cats in the vlog. I am waiting for doctors and specialists ok to start doing exercise, so in the mean time I am just walking. You could try that....while u r making ur mind up just do something not too hard/time consuming or that u need to buy stuff for.
Like Shanti says, a goal without a plan is just a wish. So maybe having a plan to follow would be a good thing. Also, it means you have rules to follow which makes making decisions easier. I don't know what plan to reccommend as thats quite personal but I think having a plan is always a good idea rather than winging it. :)
Have you tried watching your past videos as inspiration? You showed us you could do it then and I know you can do it again! I believe in you. Cora is darling!
love your videos! I'm watching them for a quite a long time by now (2,5 years?) and seriously I loved every single one. I love how you always find new motivation. That already inspired me many many times! :) keep up your good work and just keep up filming videos! <3
Happy birthday!! I'm from Australia :) I look forward to your videos so much. I love your honesty and introspection it reminds me of myself a bit. Plus your cats are cute :P
I think you should try reading Timothy Ferris book....the 4 hour body.....I lost 30 lbs on it with little effort it great you should check it out see reviews and what not
Jason do you have a super motivated exercise buddy who can keep you accountable? me and a friend jog at work twice a week and neither of us wants to not do it as we will let the other down and we are enjoying it - we do 6 miles a week :) As for diet I think you know whats right or wrong already it's just mindset- happy birthday too the 30s are the best decade without a doubt x
Also, have you considered looking into the Slow Carb diet? I did that and lost 8 pounds in the first two weeks, but I'm someone who gets bored with repetitive meal plans and so it wasn't the best for me. I've heard it works really well for others though. It includes one "cheat" day a week so it's really good for people who feel psychologically deprived on regular diets.
If you're interested in Kettle Bell workouts, but don't want to invest in a DVD, Kettle Bell swings are one of the most common moves. Maybe you could check out videos of that here on youtube and see if you're into it. I think the move can be modified to be done with a dumbbell as well.
I took a class through my doc & American Red Cross on quitting and am taking chantix. I know meds can be controversial but it's working for me, 3 weeks and I hardly even think about it...
Fluidity reminds me of Callanetics from back in the day. You can get the DVD on Amazon I think. A great Kettlebell DVD is The Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning with Lauren Brooks. But it's important to get the right weight. If the workout is too easy you'll need a heavier kettlebell.
@Rdcoaxum that's why I was thinking of getting the starter kit of kettlebells that has multiple weights... so I can test several instead of going in blind.
I am so glad I never started smoking. I have friends and family who do, and I've seen how difficult it is to quit! Good luck!!!!
I have an unopened Fluidity. It is actually still at my parents' because I left it there when I moved. They live about an hour away. I can get it the next time I'm there and mail it to you. I'm never going to use it. I can let you know when I pick it up and get your address if you want it.
There are many different ways to quit smoking. Try what works for you, and if you don't quit this, or next time... Just don't give up and you'll never fail! You're doing good, mindset has a lot to do with it. :) All the best,
@ibelieveintrees thank you! Sorry about the facebook thing -- no clue what happened there. I think there was a time I was going to try and separate youtube and real life, but it didn't go well, so i gave up
love your videos, u were the first person i ever watched on youtube and i watched every single video u made :) start small and start now, weather its water instead of soda with your hamburger or silly funny dancing with victor in your living room for 15min, just start :) love from slovenia :)
@tbossbone u didn't let me down, i still watch and love all of your videos :) it really doesn't matter what kind of a video u post, its nice to see you and hear how u are doing. slovenia is a small county in europe, right next to italy :)
i would say... just start somewhere, anywhere you can. for example, go for a walk or go up and down stairs. start moving asap and then you can set specific goals. i find we spend so much time setting goals or making plans but we actually never get going (this is true in my life).
