  • Humanity is definitely its own worst enemy. We are on top of the world and yet we destroy it and each other instead of letting the world be sane. I like your rolling the dice comparison.

    Great analysis.

  • has anyone seen that zeitgeist debunked site? i'm asking because an entire story predicated on a logical fallacy is fundamentally flawed. dig conspiracyscience (.) com & tell me what you think

  • The info you cite is incomplete, Edward L. Winston only covers the first part of the movie.

Regardless, I think the general consensus is that the movie presents a lot of consciousness expanding ideas. It's obviously biased and the facts presented are debatable, but that doesn't lessen the psychological value of the subjective content. Note, I am in no way promoting this film.

Maybe you could elaborate on your "logical fallacy" statement? Anything specific?

  • there are 3 parts. did you check out the url? i guess what i'm saying is that the movie, like any media of communication, whether it's designed to advertise, transmit data, share, be propaganda, builds on a premise. i guess what i'm saying about logical fallacy is something similar to a bad keystone, weak framing beam or house of cards. i'll suspend my belief but if something is flawed in the thetical part, all of its support isn't much good...to me, that is

  • Yes there are 3 parts, but only the first contains information, the other two are "update pending".

My view on information in general is that it is all inherently neutral and subjective. So I don't advocate taking action based on external sources. Each person should decide for themselves what is relevant and real, nothing should ever be taken at face value.

  • fair enough. but when they start blaming the original bankers, they're talking about jews. he built on that. that's wrong to me

  • in short, i take everything i hear with a grain of salt. 911 being an inside job takes a supreme suspension of belief because it presupposes that this gov't is well coordinated enough to pull that shit off & kill 8000 of its own people in its greatest city in process. i need to re-watch the addendum to the original but i must admit that it all smacks of anti-semitism. I HATE RACISM & i don't care what group is targeted it's always wrong. but that's just my read

  • I also condemn racism. Furthermore the concept of race itself is in my opinion, wholly contrived. In anthropological terms humans are far too similar to be viewed as different because of something as negligible as our cosmetic characteristics.

As for 9/11, since all the evidence was bulldozed under the carpet before a proper investigation could be conducted.. we are only left with idle speculation.

  • you should have been around when jim watson (who didn't really discover the double helix) said that subsaharran africans were condemned because they were genetically less intelligent. or when that crackpot harvard professor praised eugenics. or when these assholes on youtube try to attach race to IQ...

  • ...i digress. that's 1 of my problems with zeitgeist. i don't know about the MJ12's existence but everything should be taken with a healthy degree of skepticism. especially if the author starts loving into nietzsche & klotz territory. i kinda get that sense with mr joseph's work...but that's just me

  • Finally some one I agree with. Zeitgeist does have a slanted view , as does any documentary like movie, but it still raises many really great questions. I love this movie , not because I take it all at face value , but because it is a decenting view that states something is really wrong here and maybe it is time we really thought it out.
